FYI! If you want to be with your pet in their last moments DO NOT go to Waldorf ER Care. If your Emergency is not time sensitive Dogs & Cats referral & ER in Bowie & Calvert Animal Hospital will treat you & your pet with dignity. My pet was treated twice at Waldorf ER the week of July 23rd 2021. 1st visit the staff was very rude. 2nd visit my dog needed to be euthanized at 3 am & we were DENIED entry into the building to be with her & had to say our goodbyes at the front door. Both of my emergencies were time sensitive so I ... read more

I'm following up my horrible experience with Waldorf emergency care because I feel others should be aware of the way in which this business is run and how you may be treated. I took my dog in for an emergency in October 2020 a down payment was made and a refund of $27.90 was due after the total was less than expected. I was never told I needed to call to receive the refund and to my knowledge was not ever contacted. Fast forward to April 2021 my other dog had an emergency and was taken to Waldorf emergency care. An additiona... read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE. Our dog was seizing and foaming at the mouth, we called ahead as we were a minute away so they could come out and help us in our emergency and the front receptionist Stephanie hung up the phone. Our dog ended up dying hours later. The following day when they called to close out our bill, we asked to pay cash by using our debit account instead of our care credit which we initially used at time of check in. The woman on the phone, don't have her name, said it would be no problem to use the debit... read more

I am only giving one because ZERO isnt an option. We took a pregnant dog in after she had given birth to two dead pups. (A dog we took on ALREADY PREGNANT) After being evaluated by the tech in the parking lot she wasnt an immediate concern. They put her in the system and said they'd be out shortly. After 2 hours she had 2 more pups ALIVE. After much more time they finally came to get her. Did an x-ray, called us and said she had a blood infection, the remaining pups (still inside) were dead and that she was not going to make... read more

To the person answering the phone. My dog had a medical emergency (breathing) and after you said 5 people were on the way so you didn't know how long it would take to see her (which I said I understand if you don't have an idea on how long) said "thank you" you nonchalantly said "sure". Just no. Have some compassion.

Because of COVID they aren't letting anyone in which is fine, I guess. But we had to put down our pet and I was hoping we would be able to go in and be in a private room so I could grieve. They told me no, forcing me to grieve and sob in my car in a parking lot with other customers all around me. Absolutely ridiculous

UPDATE: we took her to another doctor to get the stones removed to find out they gave us fake x-rays. our family and our vet are appalled at the situation DO NOT GO HERE completely takes advantage of the situation, and makes you feel like you have no other choice. if you have a pet that could wait 1 or 2 more days i suggest making an appointment somewhere else! we went in yesterday for a diagnostic on our dog - as soon as we went in it's was a $600 charge before they even look at the dog. after that they made us wait in th... read more

Well. My cat is alive so two stars. I hate this place and understand all the bad reviews now. I thought people were just being stupid/not understanding that yeah, emergency care is expensive. I'd gladly pay even more for better service. I just don't need the crappy attitudes on top of the emotional distress of my pet The ONLY nice person there was the tech who explained my cats discharge instructions. For her, I am thankful. The rest of the staff needs to go work in the department of motor vehicles where their customer serv... read more

Are you kidding me? We were on your timeline, you insisted on and we were doing what YOUR VETERINARIAN instructed us to do! As a matter of fact, when I spoke to him on the phone he was extremely forceful and insistent on this taking place on the timeline HE gave us!!! Covid isn't making pets sick, so that excuse doesn't hold water.
