I would select zero stars if that was an option. I took my dog in today as she was urinating frequently and it had some blood. The vet on staff ran a urinalysis. Several levels indicated UTI but the urinalysis did not detect bacteria. Her urine had blood, high amounts of red and white blood cells and high protein, high struvite crystals, etc. The write up in the urinalysis even stated infection is possible cause. The vet admitted that the urinalysis may not be picking up bacteria but refused to prescribe antibiotics beca... read more

Sitting here waiting hours to help my cat only for people who came well after me to get helped first. My cat is also under urgent. I've asked the lady at the front desk twice now the wait time and each time she just told me to simply wait. Its been well over 2 hours and this service is some shit.

In the last 4 years I have taken my italian greyhound and my german shepherd to wecare and both dogs because of the lousy care recieved had to be put down. We are owed a refund on my german shepherd and it has been over 20 business days and they are screwing around on us. We are never going to we care again and will be putting in the extra effort to either drive to cats and dogs or the emergency clinic in annapolis. I can't risk losing another dog to people who don't give a damn.

This place is awful. Super long wait time, in excess of 7 hours start to finish. They did not save my dog! I am owed a refund of over 2100.00. They said 10 -14 business days. Well it has been over 22 business days and I have received nothing! I have called twice just to be told that my dog's record would be reviewed when the business manager got to it. But the business manager is never there! I have taken 2 dogs to there for emergency care and both have died! Do not trust this place with your beloved pets! Lori Martin

Recently, last month, we returned to this establishment for care of our beloved dog. He hurt his leg playing and jumping around and was limping. We did not receive the same level of care as with our previous visit. Probably because we did not have the same doctor. The initial receptionist was friendly, I asked about the process since during Covid you had to wait, etc., no longer that same process. I believe the "mad scientist" doctor over prescribed meds because they affected the dog in a very bad way, I'm glad we did not gi... read more

STAY AWAY! They are SCAMMERS not concerned with the care of your fur baby. If I could issue a 0 STAR I would. We visited on 9/6/24 @ 10:26p because our dog consumed a huge rock. Upon discharged for this visit at 9/7/24 @ 12am, WEC completed ex-rays and bloodwork for $650 and recommended surgery that cost $4K-$6K. Full payment was due in advance. We declined the surgery at 12am on 9/7/24 to wait for the bank to open later that morning to transfer funds. At 5:26p on 9/7/24, we returned to schedule, pay and start the surgic... read more

Business response:

I sympathize with you. ER veterinary is very expensive. Your pet has not eaten or been able to keep water down without vomiting since Monday. Last night when we examined your pet he was in serious need of IV fluids for rehydration and surgery. Our concern was high. You declined all treatment including SQ fluids and signed an AMA. When you returned this evening, your pet was lying flat out on the exam room floor and couldn’t even lift his head when we entered. He was obviously worse. You informed our technician that h... read more

Took my dog here at 10pm when I found he had a cut from an altercation two days earlier. They stitched him up nicely, with a drain, and he recovered. Wasn't cheap but wasn't outrageous. I would go here again, and I would recommend it.

If you love your pet, do not take them here. My 12 year old min pin mix, Nahla suffered an attack from another dog on 7/5. When we arrived, they said that she was not critical + we waited to be seen for several hours. Dr. Baynes told me she'd need to have surgery+stay at least 2 nights, they asked for the money up front+I took out a loan in the interim of knowing that I needed to contact Rover since it was a dog I was pup sitting who had attacked. I called to check on my pup on 7/6 + was told that she was not enjoying her st... read more

Business response:

Our sincere condolences for your loss of Nahla. The attack your pet endured while you were acting as a pet care representative for Rover.com was very serious. But this was not why you were asked to not return to WECARE. We could have easily overlooked the fact that Nahla was extremely aggressive. We could have overlooked the fact that you had an outstanding balance with WECARE and that you abandoned Nahla for over 24 hours while you refused to come and pick Nahla up. But, we absolutely refused to serve you as a client,... read more

One star isn't even deserved. Was heading to Bowie Emergency Vet when they called to say they were not accepting patients due to high capacity. OK... Plan B.... Waldorf... I got to this location at 10:35 a.m. Prior to getting here I called and asked the receptionist if they had the equipment to scope my dogs nose as that was what was needed (he had a nose bleed). I was told Yes! At 2:35 we were called back. At 4:00 I was told by the on-duty Doctor that she was not qualified to operate the scope but Dr. Fox would be in at 6p... read more

Business response:

Katie - Clearly you saw how busy we were the day you presented for a Rhinoscopy. This was not an emergency procedure - this was a request for diagnostics that could wait until an appointment could be made with a Internal Medicine specialist. It is not common for any hospital to be able to perform these diagnostics on a walk in basis... which is why we told you that we could not perform the procedure for you. Yes, you did call the hospital and asked if we had the equipment, which we do. But unfortunately, not enough hour... read more
