My dog Emmit, barely 9, died of cancer yesterday. Santa Monica Pet Medical Center MISSED ALL OF THE WARNING SIGNS The vets (we saw 2) wasted time on three UTI tests, making us wait 8 days each time for test results. Meanwhile, the cancer was metastasizing. It took them OVER A MONTH to refer us to an Internal Medicine vet for further testing. This place is a rip off , wanted to buy flea medication for my dog wouldn't let me buy till they saw my dog .All of her shots where up to date , wanted 300.00 for visit went to petco saw there vets on that Sat for 1/3 the price .Use to be a good vet but not anymore extremely rude .....what happened ,sad ,sad

FRAUD! I had a small charge on my credit card from Santa Monica Pet Medical Clinic, a company I had never heard of before. When I called to ask about the charge, the receptionist Jessica was very impatient with me and wouldn't connect me to a manager. She said the manager would call me back. After two hours I called and asked to speak to the manager and a different clerk very kindly and cheerfully connected me. The manager at first said she hadn't gotten to all her emails. Tried to set an emergency appointment for a very sick dog. I even offered to pay $5000 to get her in. They just laughed at me told me they are booked and to get lost. Pitiful place. Don't take your dog here if u care for her!

If I could give zero stars I would. Dr Hillebrand was the most caustic vet I have encountered in 40 years of owning pets. I was shamed for inaccurate scenarios regarding my rescue who does have fear issues. He is under five pounds. There was not a subject I was not shamed about and then was upsold treatments that were superfluous. So for 1,200.00 I am never returning. They over charge. Before my dog went into surgery they had me sign a contract saying the final medical bill would be between two prices (a lower amount and a higher amount and it absolutely 100% would not be higher than the highest amount quoted). Well after the procedure they bring me the bill and it's higher than the amount in the contract. I questioned the vet, Dr Woo, and she said that it took her longer than needed to do the procedure. We've been taking out Bernese there for years. The are not considerate about your time. They overbook and are always late on your scheduled appointment. We try to schedule the first appointment in the morning. They are still 20 min late. There excuse is that the Doctor is running late. This is very unprofessional. Also,it's a really expensive pet center. Some of the staff is rude. Snowflakes to say the least.
