I've been watching the dog of my former boss' daughter for the 12 months. And she's a pretty old dog, about 14 years old. She was having some diarrhea problems and looked like she was having seizures. I brought her immediately to the hospital and was seen pretty quickly. The front desk was friendly but when the tech and nurse asked if the dog was mine, I said no, I was dog sitting, I was 100% treated differently. The face of the tech fell immediately and I felt like I should've just said it was my friend's dog. I truly feel ... read more
This vet is terrible. Never take your cats here. First of all 95% of the staff is dismissive, rude, and aggressive. The doctor we saw (Dr. Bijlani) was SO creepy & weird when interacting with our cat. She overprescribed and over-treated him with everything he didn't need for everything he didn't have racking up a completely unnecessary vet bill. When questioning her about her diagnosis she was also extremely arrogant and overly defensive about her practice when everything she did was unnecessary. THE WORST PART is th... read more
Business response:
Thank you for your review. You brought your kitten in for diarrhea and tapeworms. Dr Bijlani performed a thorough examination of your kitten and came up with a treatment plan based on her exam and the history you provided. You were presented with an itemized estimate of her recommendations. You were offered a dewormer (to treat the tapeworms), a fecal test (to test for other parasites), a flea prevention (tapeworms typically occur because cats have or had fleas), diarrhea medications (to treat the diarrhea),and a bland diet ... read more
I brought my dog in after she ingested a grape. I called ahead and they said they highly recommended I bring her in which is understandable. I inquired about fees to which they said it would be an $80 checkup visit plus the cost of the service rendered which would be at the dr discretion. After bringing her in and them inducing vomiting they came in with their fee estimate. It was $150! for an emergency visit plus $210 for vomiting and $65 for the nurses observation for a total of $425. All seemed high but cost of doing busi... read more
Re: Do Not Provide Service, you scored $30 OFF your purchase! Above: Is what Pet Medical is sending me after they refuse to provide me service. Really? This is the same message they sent in my holiday card ? Seriously, what a bunch of IDIOTS!
I have been taking my pets to this veterinary clinic for more than 30 years. But, never again. My 12 year old cat, who was born with a serious heart defect, passed away there on Tuesday afternoon. His death was not their fault. He already had lived more than twice as long as cardiologists had predicted, and his heart finally gave out. But, what then happened was their fault, and makes it impossible for me to ever return there or recommend them to anyone. As I had done with each of my earlier pets when their time came, I to... read more
Ugh just so Meh. The up-sell every time with one "injectable" med after another...none of which are likely necessary. Super impersonal, uninterested and all seem uninspired by their jobs. Won't be back and it's discouraging to see.
Business response:
Dear Sharon, On the day you brought your French Bulldog into our hospital in distress, we triaged him immediately and gave supplemental oxygen care. Based on our physical exam, we discussed that he appeared painful, possibly due to back problems common in French Bulldogs and was in respiratory distress. We recommended two injections, one to help calm your dog and decrease his respiratory distress and another injection to help with pain. Prior to any treatment, an itemized estimate was presented and you authorized the treatme... read more
Available for the initial service and obviously happy to take your money, but really bad follow up requests and availability for urgent questions. I would not go back again.
For those reading, American Express refunded the fees I paid to this vet after looking into things. Unfortunately, the vets actions and negligence have had long term effects on my dog. AVOID this place like the plague.
Business response:
The owner first came to our offices on May 24, 2018 with his dog, an English Bulldog, to be seen for extreme itchiness. He stated that he had been to another doctor previously (did not bring records) and got an injection of something (he was unsure of what it was) and a a prescription of Apoquel. The purpose of his visit was to receive another prescription of Apoquel from our hospital. He was informed that a blood test was required and that we recommended, based on his dog's age and breed, a blood test called a Senior W... read more
Unlikely to ever return. Despite being quoted an astronomical amount for a neutering for our dog earlier this year (which we declined), we came only because they were open so early in the morning and our lab needed to be treated for an ear infection. The vet came in to our room and, without even examining our dog, started to tell us how the root of his ear infection could be allergies. He went into a lengthy rant about the kinds of allergies he could have and what could cause it. Our dog is healthy and fit and when I say the... read more
