I miss the convenience of Rau Too. It's a shame that portion of the practice still does not have its own location again. I miss the convenience. It seems like finding them a new home was never a priority.

It has had its challenges, more than we anticipated, with availability of suitable properties, zoning requirements for a veterinary hospital, parking requirements, etc. We know the Rau Too location is missed by many, and we appreciate your patience during this time.
We always experience quality care and service from Rau. Everyone is always very nice. Our dog was very happy this time with all the treats he got. Thanks so much!

This does not relate to my visit to Rau today but has been on mind since last year. I had visited Rau during a power outage last year and had asked if Rau has emergency generators, learning that Rau does not have emergency generators. I asked what would happen if an animal were in surgery and the power went out, but did not receive an answer. I would like Dr. Fox, as owner of Rau, to seriously consider purchasing back-up generators for Rau. I don’t understand why AAHA doesn’t include that in its requirements. What is the poi... read more

Dear Laura, First, thank you for your 5 star review. It is very much appreciated. In regard to your concerns, please know our operating room is equipped with emergency lighting (AAHA requirement) and we do have a portable backup generator on site for extended power outages. As you noted, that is not an AAHA requirement however was a concern of ours as well. If there were a power outage during a surgical procedure, we would be able to finish the procedure. When i called on Friday at 9:03am to request Rx renewal at Abington pharmacy for Lyra for start of discovered ringworm AGAIN, i was told there would be a wait until a nurse could phone it in. 9 hours later and after you were close, still had no medicine for Lyra or any call of any kind. I made 2 other calls throughout the day with different excuses each time. Saturday morning i contacted officee again, the receptionist had no record of past communications so expessed urgency to get Lyra on medicine asap as it spreads quickly... read more

We absolutely should have called you back to let you know there would be a delay in filling it. It is not entirely clear why they couldn't find the original message but we will talk to all involved to assure this doesn't happen again. The parking lot is a little small for how full it is these days. I realize you collapsed two practices into your building complex, but it's really a bit tight. Other than that, I've gotten great care for my kitties from your practice for years.

staff and other customers could keep their voices down more in the waiting area. the high ceilings make the sound echo and anxious pets waiting for appointments get startled/upset by all the noise. my experience in the exam room was great. thank you Dr. Rozak!
