Got my dog’s Rx filled just fine. I was placed on hold longer than usual which only tells me the staff must have been extremely busy. Wonderful service as always!

First let me say that we love Rau and have great confidence in the professionals who work there. However, on our most recent visit a very unfortunate incident took place. I asked for Presley's nails to be trimmed and the technician accidentally clipped a blood vessel. Of course Presley shrieked in pain but the bleeding was stopped rather quickly. However later that night after his evening walk his nail began to bleed quite heavily and it took a while for us to stop the bleeding. He is fine now.
The receptionist was very helpful. I had come to buy sentinel, and she was unsure whether my dog could receive this treatment, since it is nigh impossible to get blood from him. She checked with the doctor and/or nurse, and Fox has his heart worm protection. On another note, I have called a couple of times to request a call back from Fox's doctor. I do not believe that my messages get forwarded.

I was fifteen minutes late for my appointment but the vet still saw me anyway, which I'm grateful for. She was quick and treated my dog kindly. I was there for almost an hour however and three different vet techs came in to try to draw blood from my dog for an annual heartworm test. The first technician she saw handled her roughly and poorly. I’m dismayed at how long it will take to get an appointment to have my dog’s teeth cleaned. If I had been warned I would’ve requested it earlier.
I felt that the vet did not really listen to my concerns. My cat has Kidney disease. I was very reluctant to have his blood and urine tested because he does not handle it well. I could hear his screams in the examination room and he was very agitated once we got home. He also gave me some medications but did not tell me how expensive there were and what side effects I might be. Now I have $100 worth of pills that my cant will not let me give him. No stars really: Gray haired thin lady at the front desk several days ago needs extensive customer service. As I stood in front of her to pick up meds, no one else there a man comes in with his dog for boarding. She proceeded to take care of him completely ignoring me. I walked out. Very unprofessional and rude. I was later told she is relatively new. No excuse there!
My dog was recently in to get spayed. Overall it was a good experience. My only issue is I wanted to get her nails cut while she was under and it does not appear it was done. She is very squirmy and it can be difficult to have it done correctly. Her nails grow so fast and it would have been nice to have them clipped as short as possible.

Hi Kevin, I'm sorry that her nails were not done. We usually do trim nails whenever a patient is sedated as we understand it can be difficult to do at home. If you would like to come back in we will trim the nails at no charge.
