I had a very different experience the 2 times I went in. The first was for a very difficult decision regarding my 9 1/2 yr old dog who was getting mean and snapping at us with no instigation. My concern was over the welfare of others and I had already attempted medication. The tech was great- Ester. My visit with Dr O"Laughlin was very negative. This was our first visit to Rau, and we were very impressed. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The Dr. was very straight forward and kept things easy to understand, while remaining compassionate.

Staff was wonderful, as always. Only problem was that you were out of three month flea meds (which was what we were coming in for) Now I will have to come back in much sooner, costing more money and adding more stress to cats. I guess the lesson learned is that I have to check in on your supplies before coming back. But, of course, still love Rau.

I had an appointment Thursday night at 8:20pm for the first time. This is not my usual vet but I needed to find someone to do an ultrasound for my cat. I provided all information ahead of time. When I got there I was told nothing would be completed there and to go to the er. I was told that the dr called Vsec and there was a radiologist on staff who could do the ultrasound that night and they would call and let them know I was on my way. I spoke to the doctor who saw Colbie and she believed there was a radiologist on duty at that time , obviously she was wrong. She also believed that Colbie would benefit from supportive care until the time of the ultrasound, including possibly IV fluids and pain medication or antibiotics. when i first started coming to rau, the care and concern for animal patients and human owners was amazing.I referred many new patients over the years-you would call to check on patients, accomodate difficult animals. in more recent years, this has not been the case. i have had curt office staff, difficulty getting emergency appointments,higher prices and vet staff not adept in managing my frightened dogs. i would like to remain with rau but i am afraid the practice has had more interests in making money then in caring for an... read more

I have been a customer for many years, and I have always had a great experience with this facility. This time however, I had trouble trying to get an appointment. I submitted an online request, and received an email indicating that the time I requested was not available and to call instead. I’ve been taking my dogs to RAU since 2005. It’s by far the best Veterinary Hospitals I’ve ever experienced. Everyone is so good with my dogs, the hospital is always immaculate and the doctors are really the best. I drive out of my way to go to RAU. A+ And 5 stars!!! RAU is AMAZING!!!!
