We are told in emails (one of which I received today) asking that we call first when we arrive for our scheduled appointment. Therefore, I called from the parking lot but got the answering machine. I waited to get a call back and never did. I asked people coming out if we were allowed to enter and they said yes. Once inside I was told you don’t have to call if you’re masked. I’m very happy with the service you provide for my dog but your email message is confusing. It would be very helpful to take out that sentence about cal... read more

I've been going to Rau for many years. I recently made an appointment for my two new kittens for their first checkup and on the morning of the appointment, it was canceled because the doctor called out sick. The earliest reschedule I could get was Sunday but was informed I'd be charged extra because it was on that particular day. That made me a bit disappointed because our appointment was canceled and being these kittens had never been examined, it was crucial to their health to be seen sooner rather than later. And finally,... read more

Hi Jennifer, We understand it is stressful when our clients are unable to come in the building with their pets, it is not been easy for us either. Please understand that during the pandemic we have had to make many changes to ensure we could keep our doors open for our clients , one of them was limiting the amount of people in the building. While Sundays are reserved for our sick and critical patients and our exam fee is higher at $76.00 , you were charged our regular exam fee of $66.00. We have just begun letting clients co... read more

I was charged for a fecal test on my dog that was not performed. I later received an email saying the results for the sample that was never submitted were negative.

Hello-- I am attempting to give anonymous feedback. Literally every time I come to your practice I feel chastised by either the check-in person in the parking lot or someone on the phone. Give me one minute after I drive up to adjust my mask, OK? Your impatience with me is almost tangible. Minutes later, if I am standing there with my pet waiting for you to call me and come to my parking space to get my pet because that is your directive, that's what you need to do. Also, having your admin call two min after handing me my pe... read more

Business response:

Hi , thank you for your feedback , we always appreciate it. While we understand it is difficult to do curbside appointments for everyone involved, we try our best to make the system run as smoothly as possible. PA has dropped all Covid restrictions, except indoor masks, yet you refuse to allow me to come into the building with my pet and you refuse to give me a refill of simple Heartworm meds without a check up (extortion). You are expensive and I refuse to pay your price while having to wait outside. I was told your staff was not fully vaccinated due to medical concerns. If your staff is too ill to receive the vaccine, they should be on medical leave. According to CDC almost all adults can safely get the vaccine. Your office staff... read more

Hi Lisa, We understand the past year has been very stressful for everyone, we have done our best to keep our staff and clients safe during a nationwide pandemic so that we could remain open and be available for our patients. While our plan is to open very soon we are not quite there yet. Your pet has not been seen for 1 1/2 years at which point she needs an exam prior to us dispensing a prescription medication, that is not extortion its called good medicine. If you feel we are not a good fit for you we can send your record... read more

Brought Charlie in Friday, 5/21 at 8am for her dental treatment, 16 teeth were removed and I brought her home at 4:30. She bled for several hours,, and ate and drank nothing that night or the next day. Brought her in Saturday - got new meds. Not eating. Brought her in again Sunday am and Dr. Rosenblatt told me to stop all meds. Monday am and she is just coming out of the fog. I think she was overmedicated. I also got paperwork advising me to purchase products that were essential for a small dog’s dental health. I have brough... read more

This is a stressful time. Handing your pet over to someone in the parking lot is hard. Roxanne came in for her regular nail appt. and the young lady came out to get her. I told her that Roxanne’s Back nails were fine and she just needed to concentrate on the front. It did not go well. Roxanne ended up with a back nail that is almost completely gone, and somehow two cuts on either side of her front pads, and her front nails are as long as they were when we arrived.. My point is that as her owner, I know my pet and if she had ... read more
