I have taken my dog to NHAH for 11 years and had terrific vet care from Dr. Cindy Wade who retired two years ago. I was therefore shocked and dismayed by the inadequate handling of an emergency when my dog ingested rat poison last week. The story: I was on my way of town for a medical emergency (my elderly mother was in the emergency room across the country) when my dog ingested rat poison put out by a friend on his patio. I highly recommend NHAH! From the moment I spoke with the receptionist over the phone until the actual visit was over we were treated so kindly by all staff. Our cat is very MEAN and they handled it so professionally, giving us the opportunity to sedate him and wait in the treatment room with dimmed lights until it took effect. The vet was very calm and kind and made us feel at ease in the midst of a very stressful situation. Great staff and amazing vet! I got so much information, and help with the team here. My dog is pregnant and the team here made sure to take all the right steps to ensure a safe delivery, and I am so grateful for them! They also took their time with the ultra sound pictures and gave me in depth answers to all my questions. Overall 10/100 experience!

Just wanted to post a shout out to Dr. Osbourne. What a kind and caring vet. She is a great listener and very knowledgeable . She takes time to talk to people about their their pets, she knows they are part of ones family . So happy to have her taking care of our sweet Lab. The one star missing is because mgt is still requiring their staff to wear the ridiculous masks that near everyone knows by now that there is no evidence at all that shows they are effective, in fact, they are detrimental to ones health. Hi Stephanie, If this is the clinic's definition for amending the issue than I don't know what to tell you. Let me explain once again what the issue is. The issue is that to avoid taking responsibility for refusing to provide a follow up the clinic discharged the patient instead, OUT OF SPITE. Let me repeat once again so there is no confusion. We've had our dog here for a couple of years with no issues until these last couple of days. Our pup needed medication from a specialist they recommended and NAH was checking to see if they would be able to fill it. After being led on for days (with pup still suffering infection) various staff was shifting blame from the specialist to their own staff members on their team as to why they cannot refill it. As we mentioned, we do not normally fill prescriptions prescribed by another hospital for a few reasons, one being that we are not a pharmacy. We did however accommodate this request by having one of our doctors review the case and approve the medication for you. We have been taking our dogs here since 1970's and have always been happy with their services. It's always been a team of intelligent, highly skilled and caring vets along with a great team of support people. We trust them with the lives of our dogs who are our children!!

Dr Wind and recently retired Dr Wade have taken care of my sweet Ray for the past 7 years. They are thorough, attentive, kind, honest and knowledgeable. Ray's care has involved annual check ups, medical tummy emergencies, skin fungus, elbow sprains, benign tumor removal, tooth extractions and more. I couldn't ask for a better experience EVERY time we've needed care. I would never go anywhere else.
