I rarely write reviews these days, but I felt compelled to write one about our honest, actual experience at NHAH. We brought our dog here for a minor procedure and were told that he would need bloodwork done before undergoing anesthesia. This is common and we said yes, and that they would email us the quote for the procedure the next day. It was our first time there, and we only picked them because they were close by. They recommend these diagnostics ensure the safety of the patient under anesthesia/sedation. The email the doctor sent also contained instructions on how to manage the wound at home if surgery wasn't ideal for your patient. They will ask you to take home a bounch of different meds... not sure if my cat really needs that much... and after I signed the estimate they added one more med without clearifying it with me... Not sure if it is the best place to come..........and we waited like 2 hours in the car... they are super super slow.

Waited over 20 minutes to just collect my pet from boarding. Great facility and people if you are willing to wait. Too long of a wait though....

My favorite animal hospital I've been to. I brought Baby Girl, my 4 month old puppy to this hospital for her last parvo shot. I was unable to have an in person experience due to covid, but they have some of the nicest/ people I have experienced in an animal hospital/clinic thought it was merely all by phone. When they took Baby Girl inside by the leash they took her time bringing her inside because she was nervous. They didn't pull on the leash dragging her inside they just took there time until she was comfortable to go in.... read more

Really glad we got a referral for this vet. We live in LA but my partner is from OC and we visit family frequently. After a very unsatisfactory experience at another animal hospital in central LA, our little guy wasn't getting better. Newport Harbor was able to accommodate us same day. With even a quick exam, Dr. Sebzda was able to make me feel much more at ease and give me some clarity and explained the priority steps. After 5 days and seeing 5 veterinarians we were recommended by a friend to go to Newport Animal Hospital. Although our little Rubble is still in their care I had to share my experience thus far. Dr. Bates has been SO AMAZING! We know COVID makes it difficult to interact with patients at this time but Dr. Bates totally takes his time to talk to us on the phone about EVERYTHING! On Sunday 4/5/20, we took our Min Pin, Sadie who was 8 months old, to NHAH. For three days, she had been having issues eating, vomiting a lot the first day, and no bowel movements. This was the third time we had gone to a Vet since Friday (second time to NHAH) as things were not getting better. Due to COVID 19, my wife and daughter had to stay in the car.
