Get directionsI wish I read these one star reviews before coming here!! They gave me an estimate that was already higher than another emergency vet clinic I checked with, but because this place was closer and I was pressed for time, I decided to come in. After I signed the estimate and they operated on my leopard gecko lizard, they added even more things to the invoice, without seeking any approval for the added charges. Don't bring your pet here because they are overpriced and will only care about maximizing your bill. Never coming back!

They are not very responsive when they say they will send out the test results. I had to call and call...When I actually received the statement, there's nothing on the statement except the letterhead and the total. I don't understand why a such small thing is so mountainous to complete. In addition, very pricey and talkative staff that were too busy sharing their personal stories when they should be attending patients.

The service was too damn slow, and there was no communication between this hospital and VCA Irvine Boulevard. Plus their service is so expensive. My dog was still sick after receiving treatment from the doctor. I wasted so much money, and I want it back! My toy poodle, Chase, has been having bad diarrhea and vomiting since Wednesday night. I called the doctor here to get him set up for an appointment. I was there for three long hours. They said it would take us 45 minutes to see a doctor, but it took much longer than that. ... read more

DONT GO HERE - THEY WILL DISFIGURE YOUR DOG!! Brought my dog here only because I was 8 minutes away and it was the closest vet to where I was when my dog had his emergency. By the time I got here I was sure my dog had already passed. I decided to resuscitate just to make sure I don't have any regrets in case something could be done for him. I assumed it would be the typical CPR. They took forever with my dog, and by the time I got him back, his neck hair was shaved and he had a big gash on his neck. I am not sure why that wa... read more

Came today because notice my cat was sick and the doctors sweet but kept saying they didn't know what was wrong with my cat and wanted to hospitalize him when it was not needed. When I left my cat was physically way worse then he walked in. I came later to another emergency vet because he was getting worse and they said he just had a gum infection causing his fever which Irvine valley pet hospital said he had a respiratory infection and we paid over 1 thousand dollars when their information and medicine was not helpful the v... read more

For those that got scammed by this vet, PLEASE TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT! You can sue them for Dispute under $5000. After being scammed by Irvine Valley Veterinary Hospital for $850 of deposit and they used the money without my permission, I wrote a negative review and has since received a courteous owner reply on public platform in Yelp, their manager Nicole Hayes then sent me a private email stating that they will no longer service me as a client and yet refused to refund me the money. As if I would ever come back ... read more

They are in no rush to care for any pet from what I witnessed, not just my own. I would go somewhere else where they have sense of urgency. I saw other dogs come in with food poisoning, they told the owners to call the poison hotline. I'd save on time and money and just call the poison hotline if your dog is stable. 2 hours before my dog received pain medication or any care and then another hour and half before I left. 3 1/2 hours is a very long time for a minor broken nail. They did earn one star because everyone was n... read more

To put it shortly, don't bring your dog or animals here because this practice (not the vets, but administration team and even the technicians) are quite negligent in their work. I took my dog there and do not feel safe having them treat her further. They only have 1 vet who is qualified to do ER veterinarian work out of 10 doctors in this clinic/hospital. I brought my dog in since she was whimpering in pain and she is not a very vocal dog. After we talked to Dr. Simpson (who is no way the bad person in this scenario, he a... read more

If you are planning on coming here even for an emergency. Read this review. Then read the other real 1 star reviews. If you read the reviews here then compare to other vets you will understand why you should never bring your pet here. If I read the reviews beforehand I would NOT have brought my now deceased pet here. This place has a history in pet deaths after treatment. If you scroll through the reviews you will see that several dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, a lizard, and a bird have been killed here after receiving treat... read more
