I honestly hate leaving reviews... Worse than that I hate reading things low ratings. But this experience was unacceptable and emotionally draining. After calling numerous vets, trying to find a place that I could take my bearded dragon that did have the facilities capabilities to do an emergency surgery. I found this place... After a back-and-forth conversation with one of their representatives named Ashley, I was assured that they would be able to not only help me, but possibly even get me in for a procedure the same ... read more

Hi Lynn and Darren, We are very sorry to hear about your experience, and we completely understand your frustration. It's incredibly disheartening to hear that you and your family had to go through this. If your pet has an emergency, give it a real chance of survival and take it somewhere else. I made the mistake of bringing my beloved parrot Jalapeño where Dr Pokard took our 2k and forgot about him. She, being the avian specialist, decided the best care for our parrot would be to put it aside until she was done with every other pet emergency. Our parrot had an emergency as well, but it had to wait about 5 hours to finally get the surgery that would have saved his life. She neglected him. There was a second vet who should ha... read more

My parents took our parrot jalapeño to this place because there was an avian specialist who said they could work on it right away. I stayed home to support my 11 year old sister who was heartbroken. We were scared but hopeful because of the reassurance the doctor was giving my parents. We never expected to lose our pet by the neglect of Dr.Pokard. If you love your pets don't take them to this hospital.

Came here to bring my puppy that had issues with worms in his stool, got a 145$ charge just for the doctor checking his weight and his heart rate, the total was 235.46$ but i declined to get the fecal examination, usually they range from 44-80$ never 100+ especially if you won't get a test result until 3 days , if you believe your dog can wait for a local vet go there instead . Not only did they only want money but the ladies who come in to charge you won't come out and discuss the price with you very unprofessional, spent 1... read more

Money grab...When I called I wasn't told there would be a $145 exam fee, I very was clear my pug was fine just itchy and had allergies and just needed a quick cytopoint shot, this was not an emergency i was just cruising yelp looking for a vet. I asked how much it would be and was told $50-$100, which seemed totally fair and what our old vet had charged. My fault I guess for not realizing this was their ONLY an emergency hospital, I asked if I should make an appointment and was told "oh you can just bring her in now" like ... read more

Do not go here for an emergency. I called the office at 10:56pm notifying them that my dog was coming in and described the symptoms of bloat. I was at their office by 11:25pm. My dog's symptoms started at 10:20pm and it took me a moment to realize what was happening since I was in bed half asleep. My dog was awake and alert when I brought her in. She was pacing at this point. I don't understand why the staff had not prepped their operating room- fully knowing that I was coming in with this case. It wasn't until 12am ... read more

DO NOT GO HERE if your pet's condition can wait until you can take them to your primary local vet. I brought my young golden here because he seemed a bit lethargic and had runny stool. They tried to charge me $3k+ for a "24 hr hospitalization" and when I questioned their diagnosis and treatment recommendation (as all pet parents have the right to do) Dr. Kelly gave me a condescending look and cuts me off to say my dog is "very sick and not a normal dog" as if my dog had terminal cancer and I was refusing treatment. I love ... read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I brought my little dog here who was having seizures. After they charged me almost $4000, they tend told me She needed to be transferred to a specialty neurology dog clinic for further testing. I ended up putting her to sleep for an additional $750 one hour I paid the $4,000. They then cremated my dog and charged us another few hundred dollars So I will be disputing my credit card since we paid over $6,000 for unethical care. I will be reporting them to the veterinary board as they are crooks... read more
