Get directionsBe aware. Your pet will not be examined in your presence here. So you have no idea what procedures/tests were carried out. We took our bunny here one day. After taking the bunny in a back room and us waiting for quite a while, they said they didn't know what was wrong with the bunny but provided three treatment options (one being over $800). We paid the $185 consultation fee and took the bunny to a place in YL. The other place checked the bunny in our presence and provided a diagnosis. They gave us a recipe for a home re... read more

The primary care is okay. They dismissed my dog's booty scooting saying that French Bulldogs just do that when there was actually a real problem. I had multiple appointments regarding this issue costing over $2000 in vet visits. And to have no solution in the end. They also try to upsell you all the products and treatments they can. Even charge you for things that your dog will need in the future. And they are very pricey. I wish I wouldn't have purchased their $400 yearly membership, which isn't a bad price compared to othe... read more

A trip to IVVH that led to disappointing treatment and death of our beloved pet. Our dog has been suffering from liver disease but was in overall good energy when we arrived at IVVH on Sunday afternoon for a fairly straightforward procedure to remove fluid build up. She was deemed non-critical and sat for HOURS while they tended to one patient after another who walked in the door after us. After an initial assessment and of course, offering us over $2000 in different tests, treatments, etc that we ultimately declined (and pr... read more
The only reason this veterinarian practice is receiving one star is because the staff were super sweet and kind. Apart from that sadly everything else was not good. My dog was very sick with vomiting and diarrhea. They diagnosed her with a stomach ulcer and gave her medication for it. At no point did they give her anti vomiting or ant diarrhea medication. They also did not test for pancreatitis even though her symptoms suggested she might have it. Over the next 5 days her symptoms got really bad. When I called to say she w... read more

This hospital is the worst I have never experienced. First employees are not welcome at all, no smile, waiting almost 1 hour for doctor and told me doctor still filling up medicine which is 2 hours past the pick up time. Finally doctor come out and talk to me with annoying attitude and very unprofessional, I can't believe this behavior coming from this pet hospital and why is the business still running. There are others pet hospital to choose from around the area please reconsider before you choose Irvine Vally Veterinary Ho... read more

We took in our rabbit to the hospital as she was acting abnormal all day. Lethargic, refusal to eat, heavy breathing... Just the day before she was acting perfectly normal and full of energy, so this came as a shock to us. They took her in within minutes as they saw she was in critical condition. We had to wait about 3 hours for the results of the bloodwork, urine testing, and x-rays. Very long wait, but I understand they had a lot of patients and they were probably doing the best they could to get me the results as soon as... read more

I appreciated the vet Jessica Tondo reviewing treatment options with me so that I could make an informed decision given all the pros and cons, however I had to be the one to initiate even having that discussion and I wish that more time had been given to then review the steps moving forward once I'd made my decision. Instead, it almost felt as though since I'd already paid and there wasn't any more money to be made, caring for my cat was no longer a priority. As for my interactions with the veterinary assistant Rafael, thos... read more

Please read all the negative reviews. So many complaints to the board about malpractice and negligence. Fresh grads that don't know what they are doing. Lack of experience without a mentor is a deadly combination. Stay away from this vet if you want your pet to live. Labs and tests are useless if they are not read by a good doctor. This has a very corporate feel with indifferent doctors and incompetent staff.

The slowest vet hospital I have ever visited. They were quick to take us in and check on pets but, the follow up took about an hour. Front desk didn't keep us updated on status and after asking second time - they came back with an update. Felt like we were forgotten in the exam room. BTW we were the only visitors, atleast out in the front.
