Dr Mara Guth, formerly of Caring for Cats in Manayunk is at Hickory Vet now. She is the best cat I've ever dealt with in over 40 years of being a cat parent. She really knows her stuff and I trust her completely.

We came to Hickory Vet to see a vet. oncologist. Dr. Binstock is wonderful! She is empathetic and understanding. She explained everything and gave us printed info on every step and week of chemo. The staff has been great. Also the waiting area is very spacious which is great for nervous dogs.

Just spent 2 1/2 hours waiting for a cardiac test and the results. The place seemed chaotic and we could not get a straight answer as to when we could take our pet home. Very disappointed. I wish I could offer a better review, but we were disappointed.

I had to wait to write this as my heart is still aching .. June 11, 2024 are boy Lil Mister left a huge hole in our hearts .. he is no longer in pain.. everyone at this place was so professional and understanding., July 4th we picked up his ashes , he is home now.. I would 100% recommend this vet/hospital!

I would not reccomend Hickory Vet clinic. I took my pup there late one evening last week because her anal glands were leaking a red/pinkish fluid. After the examination, the vet said she was perfectly fine and that it was her expelling an infection on her own. I had a gut feeling that something else was going on, but trusted them since they are the professionals. I followed up with my normal vet a couple days later because she was still leaking fluid. Everything is awful in this practice. From untrained doctors to poor management. Do not take any animal here. Read all 1 star services from this place.

I was referred to Hickory Vet by a dear friend of mine. The visit couldn't have gone better! Not only did I get good news in regards to my Golden Retriever Bella, but the staff at the hospital was AMAZING!! Stacy ( the doctor) explained everything I needed to know in a way I would understand. She was so kind and supportive with my worries and eased my heart and mind with her kind words. I brought my mini dachshund for emergency visit. All personal was very professional. They immediately took us in. After initial observation by vet assistant Dr. Sean Kent showed up. He gave very clear opinion on what should be done. We were on our way within 30 minutes. Thank you,Hickory hospital!
