Despite the prognosis, I greatly appreciate Dr. Kay's honesty and candidness. The whole staff was phenomenal! Kind, passionate, and compassionate. Dr. Kay is truly a doctor that went into medicine to help others.
Business response:

I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. AVOID THIS PLACE. Dr. Guth, our staff vet, is a gem, but unfortunately the owners, Drs. Kay (male and female both) are asses. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. This practice does not care about your pets, only making money. (Read the reviews about how they negligently kill pets there under their care.) We scheduled a neuter surgery for our puppy and brought him in between 7-7:30am as instructed. We were told we would get a phone call with an update after the surgery (NEVER HAPPENED) and disc... read more

It was an emergency and I had no other option. I didn't know what they were about. They misdiagnosed my pet and dismissed my concerns of what I saw was the issue. Several days later I went to a different vet who listened and administered an antibiotic. I called Hickory and management gaslight me and deflected away from what they did wrong. They blamed my pet and me in the end.
My pet was brought to Hickory as an emergency from a grooming accident. All the staff at Hickory were so kind and supportive. They were very loving to my dog and thorough with his needs. I felt we were so well taken care of; especially considering this was an emergency and a very upsetting situation for my family and our dog. I cannot give a higher recommendation.

walked out after waiting over 2 hours for an emergency. not professional, under staffed, not a real emergency vet. if your animals life depends on your choice this is not the place.
Business response:
Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We understand your frustration with the wait time you encountered. We try our best to staff and meet the needs of our patient both hospitalized and the emergencies that are walk ins. Autopsy shows Caroline kozar and hickory ended my dogs life in 30 hours. He suffocated to death while they stood by and did nothing. They also charged me 7000.00 when their own consent form says they will not charge more than 1000.00 They then falsified records and destroyed all video. Follow Philadelphia county court of common pleas 240300128. They feel they should only pay me 500.00. As i was walking out with my dog in a white box they were screaming at me about owing them more moeny. They are sickening. Please believe the... read more
