I'm a member of one of the largest dog training and canine sports clubs in the region, and every time I've asked other members for advice on which vets they like in the area, I've gotten a lengthy list of good options from them. They then usually follow up with "Just don't go to Hickory". I've then usually kept my mouth shut since I was using Hickory as my dogs' veterinarian. Kozar made multiple medication errors and then caused an acute lung injury in my dog on Sept 23 2023. She then stood by and did absolutely nothing to even try to save him. Hickory has hired bbc law firm in court and all they do is lie to judges to try to get out of legal trouble. My expert has said kozar was not only negligent but grossly negligent in the death of double stuff. Ugh. What a nightmare this has been. Let me start by saying that I DO recommend Dr. Laurie Bergman (behaviorist), but I DO NOT recommend Dr. Erica Snihur or Dr. Tiffany Kay. We were referred to Dr. Bergman by our behavior mod/cooperate care trainer due to our dog's fear, anxiety and aggression issues, which include grooming. Long story short, Dr. Bergman recommended that we make a sedated grooming appointment through Hickory, so we did. Awful. Spoke to a "nurse" by the name of Wanda who answered the phone. We asked if we should bring our dog in and if she considered his symptoms an emergency. She was no help, rude, and literally couldn't tell us what COULD be wrong with our dog, She was incompetent and clueless and even hung up the phone on us!!!

I called about getting an appointment for our dog as he had a sudden and severe limp on the same leg he had TPLO surgery about a year and a half ago. They scheduled me for the next day but when we arrived the vet acknowledged she was unqualified to asses or even make an Xray. There was apparently an error when they scheduled me as I gave all the pertinent information regarding the likely need for an Xray etc. but they wanted me to schedule and pay for a second visit with the "correct veterinarian". This place is absolutely TERRIBLE do not bring your pet here. They charged us 7k to put our puppy down that they should have saved. I cannot express enough how unprofessional and inexperienced this group of monkeys is. Again, please do not bring your pet here.
I followed my vet Dr. Celano from Doylestown to this practice. Brought two dogs for routine annual visits. At the end of a routine visit, my bill was $798.00 dollars. Dr. Celano decided to run extensive blood work costing $300.00 per dog without my permission, without quoting me a price, without even a discussion. Upon speaking to her after the fact, she said she was sorry but there's nothing she can do because the bloodwork was sent away. I was deceived!!!!
