Finding the right hospital with the right doctors is not always an easy task. At Hickory, we realize the frustration many pet owners feel when choosing a veterinary hospital. So we decided to make it easy for our clients. We took a primary care veterinary hospital with dedicated general practitioners and added experienced specialists in surgery, oncology, cardiology, radiology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation and acupuncture. Then we went one step further and made the medical facility open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 7... read more

Get directionsAfter trying to get my dog into North Penn Animal Hospital.....no one was available to answer the phone until after 3:30 and this was an emergency. Was referred to another Vet and picked Hickory. They were absolutely amazing they were able to see my dog within 20 minutes everyone was so kind and understanding. The facility is so clean....I was so impressed that I moved my dogs records from North Penn. I am able to get appointments and not have to wait 7 weeks and someone answers the phone immediately....the are FABULOUS!!!!
Very good experience with the removal of a scary mass from my dog's leg. communication was very good, including follow up.
Such a wonderful clinic. Filled with wonderful people who care about your pet like their own. My dog was limping on his backleg, and I've had other clinics tell me I need to operate (something I have been trying to avoid, as it is deeply invasive) and they helped me find alternatives that are better for him, and have improved his mobility significantly. They CARE about your pet. Appreciate them so so so much. Thank you Hickory Veterinary Clinic!! You rock!
We said good bye to our 24 year old dog at HR. They were very sweet and compassionate.
Despite the prognosis, I greatly appreciate Dr. Kay's honesty and candidness. The whole staff was phenomenal! Kind, passionate, and compassionate. Dr. Kay is truly a doctor that went into medicine to help others.
I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. AVOID THIS PLACE. Dr. Guth, our staff vet, is a gem, but unfortunately the owners, Drs. Kay (male and female both) are asses. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. This practice does not care about your pets, only making money. (Read the reviews about how they negligently kill pets there under their care.) We scheduled a neuter surgery for our puppy and brought him in between 7-7:30am as instructed. We were told we would get a phone call with an update after the surgery (NEVER HAPPENED) and disc... read more
Took very sick dog there at midnight. The staff was sympathetic and fast. Glad they were nearby for us.
It was an emergency and I had no other option. I didn't know what they were about. They misdiagnosed my pet and dismissed my concerns of what I saw was the issue. Several days later I went to a different vet who listened and administered an antibiotic. I called Hickory and management gaslight me and deflected away from what they did wrong. They blamed my pet and me in the end.
My pet was brought to Hickory as an emergency from a grooming accident. All the staff at Hickory were so kind and supportive. They were very loving to my dog and thorough with his needs. I felt we were so well taken care of; especially considering this was an emergency and a very upsetting situation for my family and our dog. I cannot give a higher recommendation.
