Everyone at Hickory was very friendly! My dog was having very bad stomach pains and they were able to see him right away. The vet was very knowledgable, helped my dog, and we were on our way in no time.

I took my dog in because she was making loud choking sounds. The veterinarian sa8d there was no way that she was choking off of anything and that an xray wasn't necessary. She prescribed my dog antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. As soon as I got home with the dog she vomited up an object. I called and they said I denied getting the xray that they told me that I didn't need so there was nothing that they could do about the 308.00 that I had just paid.

On Sept 23 2023 carolize kozar allowed my dog to suffer an acute lung injury under her care and suffocated to death. Autopsy at cornell states kozar did absolutely nothing to even try to save my babies life. She then falsified records and changed his time of death 4 times. Hickory charged me 7000 to kill my dog in 30 hours. My case will be filed very soon. I already have an expert to go against this place and I reported this to the aaha and the state. My dog, Piper, needed bilateral TPLO surgery and we met with Dr Rosenheck. She explained everything that would happen during her surgery and was very easy to talk to and answered all our questions. The front desk staff was very helpful during this very emotional time. Piper had her surgery on 1/2, she spent two days at hickory and was very well taken care of. We go back in two weeks for a checkup but I do not anticipate any problems. I was very surprised by all the bad reviews since we had such a positive experience.

After spending over $5000 in 2023 on my two older dogs for emergency services at this vet , I called tonight because I dropped their bottle of insulin and it shattered. The woman I spoke to could not have been less interested in lifting so much as a finger to help me get my dogs insulin from them as, "I normally don't fill my prescriptions there" After biting my tongue and hanging up, I called Chewy, they listened to my problem, jumped through several hoops, and are expediting the order and shipping it overnight at no charge... read more

This place is a joke, long story short, charged me $870.00, my dog cut his leg and cracked a nail, told them he didn't need to be put under he's had stitches twice before and was fine they assured me to pull his nail as well they needed to put him under risking my dogs life putting him under. Come to find out 3 days later when bandage came off they never pulled the nail so charged me almost $900.00 for something my vet would have charged me $180.00 for, NEVER TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!

Never again. WHAT happened to this facility??? They used to be good before Dr. Brown retired. Atrocious attitudes at the front desk (except for Ashley I think is her name - a doll), appointments are NEVER on time, incompetent staff, everyone is VERY disorganized, poor communication, rooms dirty, exorbitant pricing. Won't be back.

I tried to get my sick dog an appointment and was told no because I had a balance back in 2020? Why did I never get a bill for this in the mail?? Why would I pay for something when I don't even know what for? They said no money no appointment for sick dog. Unbelievably BAD service. My poor doggy. Find another VET is my opinion....
