Get directionsIf you love your fur baby stay away from this hospital!!!!! They gave my fur baby Buprenex without my permission when she was admitted for a pancreas and kidney episode. They don't deserve to hold the title Doctor! This is a med should not have been administered. Staff was horrible! Ultimately my baby passed away two days after leaving their care and to this day they still don't know. This was Mother's Day weekend. Absolutely no follow up. Town and County, their other facility in Fairfax is just as bad, STAY AWAY I would giv... read more
This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST animal hospital i have EVER been too! My dog was bitten by another dog and i thought it could possibly have been infected so we rush her over there and immediately before saying like "oh she will be ok" their first response was to tell me that they needed over $100 for her to just be looked at... I'm not sure about anyone else but if i am so concerned to the point where i take my dog to an emergency clinic i want to know how she is doing rather than being bothered about a cost but it gets worse! Wonderful doctors. Horrible front desk staff. I've been going here for years and the front desk is the reason I have decided to switch vets.
Not happy with this animal hospital at all. I called on a Friday night around 11pm with my dog having diarrhea with a lot of blood in it and her throwing up. I was told it would be a 3-4 hour wait and to please come up to the hospital and sign in, which I did. I sat in my car with this sick animal for TWO HOURS just to have someone come out to my car to say "oh a sicker dog came in so we cant see your animal"!! Its funny because how did they NOT know my animal was not dying?? Before even going to this animal hospital I had c... read more
Have come here twice in the last month, once for an emergency visit, and another with an appointment scheduled ahead of time, and both times, I've left disappointed and stressed. I understand that there are other emergencies to tend to, but it just feels like the team did not know how to handle my pet, and the communication was lacking. It was during my second visit that I realized I was wasting my time here when I brought my cat in with urinary issues, only to find out that after 8+ hours, all they did was frighten and stre... read more
I came to this location to get my dog treated after noticing some issues with her skin and bleeding. I was told the wait would be 3-4 hours. Fine. To be expected. After two hours I was one of the last cars in the parking lot. There was me and another car. I called to see what the wait would be. She told me I was next up. Fine. So I waited 30 more minutes in the car. My dog was getting anxious and antsy as it was well after midnight at this point and we came in right before 10. I took her inside the lobby as I was sure we wou... read more
After being a client here for the last 14 years, I am saddened about how they are operating now. I always felt I was being upsold on procedures and vaccinations my pets didn't need, and now, the operational and pricing is no longer suitable to cost-effective, solid care. I had an emergency with my dog (splenic tumor, bloody stool) and when I called on my way, I was told it would be a 5 hour wait. Then I wanted a physical exam for my fearful, neurotic dog and could not take him back to the exam room. The tech couldn't get my... read more
Not as happy as I used to be with these guys. The founding vet told me my girl had a value issue in her heart. When I asked him what to do he said let's just see how she does. She died of heart failure. His son xrayed my boys heart after he was xrayed there just a couple of days before, and been to the cardiologist. I assume he did this because I had a credit balance on my account. Owners are not allowed inside because of covid and he did not ask my permission to do more xrays. Now, my girl is sick from a cicada fest and eve... read more
I have been going to Columbia Pike for over sixteen years with both foster cats and my personal zoo (during that time I've had anywhere from 4-6 cats). I've had phenomenal experiences with most of the doctors (some I definitely WOULD NOT recommend though). Unfortunately, most of the doctors I did have a strong rapport with have left, don't do client visits anymore or are only part-time (trying to get an appointment with them is challenging and the staff will do a bait-and-switch). The front office staff and the techs...that... read more
