I came to this location to get my dog treated after noticing some issues with her skin and bleeding. I was told the wait would be 3-4 hours. Fine. To be expected. After two hours I was one of the last cars in the parking lot. There was me and another car. I called to see what the wait would be. She told me I was next up. Fine. So I waited 30 more minutes in the car. My dog was getting anxious and antsy as it was well after midnight at this point and we came in right before 10. I took her inside the lobby as I was sure we wou... read more

After being a client here for the last 14 years, I am saddened about how they are operating now. I always felt I was being upsold on procedures and vaccinations my pets didn't need, and now, the operational and pricing is no longer suitable to cost-effective, solid care. I had an emergency with my dog (splenic tumor, bloody stool) and when I called on my way, I was told it would be a 5 hour wait. Then I wanted a physical exam for my fearful, neurotic dog and could not take him back to the exam room. The tech couldn't get my... read more

Not as happy as I used to be with these guys. The founding vet told me my girl had a value issue in her heart. When I asked him what to do he said let's just see how she does. She died of heart failure. His son xrayed my boys heart after he was xrayed there just a couple of days before, and been to the cardiologist. I assume he did this because I had a credit balance on my account. Owners are not allowed inside because of covid and he did not ask my permission to do more xrays. Now, my girl is sick from a cicada fest and eve... read more

I have been going to Columbia Pike for over sixteen years with both foster cats and my personal zoo (during that time I've had anywhere from 4-6 cats). I've had phenomenal experiences with most of the doctors (some I definitely WOULD NOT recommend though). Unfortunately, most of the doctors I did have a strong rapport with have left, don't do client visits anymore or are only part-time (trying to get an appointment with them is challenging and the staff will do a bait-and-switch). The front office staff and the techs...that... read more

This Hospital is horrible. I adopted a kitten a few days ago and then she starting feeling sick. my kitten was not eating so I took her here for urgent care and the vet called informing me she had upper respiratory infection and fever. They gave her antibiotic shots and sent us home. two days later she still wasn't eating so I emailed the vet and she said bring her in. This time they decided to do blood work and X-rays however found nothing wrong and sent her home with antibiotics and appetite stimulant to help her eat. Luc... read more

I'm not sure what had happened to CPAH. I am sensitive that it is a hard time to be a vet and they are under incredible stress but my last 3 times here have been nightmares. The latest had me sitting there for 4.5 hours while they had my dog. I had an appointment and no one could give me updates. It took 6 calls to get her radiology reports (that never went to the specialist who requested them) and I have been waiting 5 days for a medication that they said they would fill if I called in and am being questioned on it because ... read more

I have two kittens who have been seen 4 times at CPAH, from the time they were 8 weeks old, for well kitten and immunization visits. They are now 10 months old and need to be spayed, so I called this morning to make an appointment and get a rough estimate of the cost of spaying. I was told that I would have to email a veterinarian to get a cost estimate. I explained that I just needed a rough idea of cost, and the receptionist said that they are not allowed to discuss cost because it can be so variable. That's ridiculous, o... read more

Do not bring your pet here! They have no clue how to manage a doctors office. The vets are great and helpful, however the techs and front desk are rude. They have no clue what they are doing, if you ask a simple question you get put on hold while they try to figure out the answer. Treatment plants are not accurately communicated between staff and customers. They try to up sell you treatment plans and if you can't afford them they get rude. Most of the staff seems to not even care for animals or they're jobs. However if you d... read more

Another awful experience today, after arriving 15 minutes early (because I know it'll take them at least that long to get it together and check me in), they refused to take my friends dog (he made an appointment at the same time as I did for my 2 Great Danes) saying they didn't have the space... long story short they were supposed to send someone out to talk to us, that didn't happen. I called and got put on hold even after I stated I was in the parking lot and there was an issue. After holding for almost 5 minutes I le... read more
