Get directionsThis place was recommended to me for spaying by the SPCA because they do it cheaper than some of the others. Don't go there. They were suppose to microchip my dog at the same time which was on the cost estimate they gave me. They asked me if I wanted the Spay Inc !V Cath & Fluids and I said no and signed the form stating NO. When I picked him up I got the final bill and I assumed because of the total it was for the microchip. It wasn't until several days later when I went to register my dog I realized they had not given me ... read more
I wanted to wait a few days before posting those to make sure it wasn't just grief that was making me angry but it turns out that wasn't the case. We brought my mom's eight year old Chihuahua into this hospital with a stomach virus of some sort or infection. They did a stomach pump to remove any food which then turned into pneumonia through aspiration. Knowing she was a 5 pound Chihuahua and not very young, I would think the hospital would be very careful to say when she could be released and sent home. They told my mom afte... read more
Had scheduled a 5:30pm appointment and they did not honor my appointment. The front desk gave a BS answer that the doctor wasnt taking any more appointments. So what's the point of scheduling? What a waste of time. Save yourself some time and go to another place.
We will be returning to our previous Vet. When we took our two chihuahuas to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital we informed them up front that both were allergic to vaccinations, including rabies. We also provided related documentation from our previous Vet. We were ensured that this was okay and they could become patients at this hospital. After expensive evaluations and two $1000+ teeth cleanings we are now informed they can no longer be seen because of their lack of rabies vaccinations. It was fine for expensive procedure... read more
The ladies at the front are absolutely rude and it is so hard to get connected with the vet that treated your animal. They would leave me on for 30 minutes on the phone holding. The vet was nice but the people in the front are just on their phone and when you try to talk to them it is attitude. I don't recommend. Just expect to be on hold for sometime.
I took my dog (Echo) to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and it took EIGHT days to diagnose, with an ultrasound, a blockage in her small intestine. My dog suffered for days before the diagnosis that emergency surgery was necessary. She was admitted two different times during this eight day wait. Both times, I authorized an ultrasound and nail clipping and both times I told the dr. that she eats EVERTHING.. Both times, CPAH DID NOT DO THE ULTRASOUND or nail clipping. My dog had not eaten for the entire time. They gave her ... read more
Red flags from my initial call for an appointment and after the appointment. Called to schedule an appointment and asked for a particular vet and got scheduled. Found out 2 days before had that they scheduled me for the wrong vet. Then Key sent me an email ask for his vet records. I sent an email with a couple questions back about what should I bring to the appointment (think poo) and had another question. It's been a couple weeks and still no response. Got to the appointment and it was quick and rushed. Kevin the vet tech w... read more
This place is completely incompetent and is the reason my dog unnecessarily suffered for months. I visited on an emergency basis, they are less than 3 miles from my house, and my dog started bleeding down her legs on our after work walk. I was too panicked to drive to our regular vet during rush hour. I wish I could go back in time and do so. Due to COVID, I had to wait in the parking lot for hours. When my dog was finally seen, I was then told that I had to collect a urine sample from her. Having never had to do this befor... read more
Do not trust your animals with Dr. Wong. My cat, who has a previous history of heart failure, was presented to the ER vet with breathing issues. Dr. Wong took in Simon and did an ultrasound on his chest, finding fluid in his lungs and chest--consistent with him returning to a state of heart failure. Just a few minutes after examining him, Dr. Wong told me I had two options: undergo extensive testing on Simon costing $2500 (xrays, echo, bloodwork etc) or put him to sleep. She would not even consider keeping him overnight an... read more
