Get directionsMy dog needed to get neutered so I contacted Spay Inc to get affordable neutering/spay services in my area. After researching and calling I decided to go here since the estimate I received from Spay Inc and CPAH matched as long I provided a control number. Checking in was not the problem, the problem was checking out. The estimate I have is for $205 and somehow the bill went up to over $300. I told them this was not the agreed amount and the front desk girl tells me she can "knock the bill down" to $279. Still not what was a... read more
Skip this place. Was a customer of theirs for 30 years and after several issues with getting the wrong medicine, appointments being cancelled at the last minute and then the front desk always messing up we decided it was time to switch to another vet care facility. So much happier there. Do yourself a favor and comparison price shop on services and you will be mighty shocked at how at how much more they charge. Once was a great place to go, but so much happier going to a place that cares, gets things right the first time and... read more
This place shouldn't even get one star! Do not go to this animal hospital! My cat had a urinary blockage- I was given an estimate for a length of stay for 3 nights to insert a catheter and monitor his urine output. Due to an emergency in the clinic, I was told to pick my cat the next day. The bill was almost as much as if my cat stayed 3 nights- but he only stayed 1 night. The bill was outrageous! $2600.00 for one night. The initial bill was almost $3000.00 and I questioned it because there was some double billing on the st... read more
I would probably give no stars but I have to choose one. I have a beloved pup who I scheduled for an appointment at Columbia Pike animal Hospital. When I scheduled I let them know that my 11-year-old Bernese Mountain dog was failing they couldn't accommodate me for four days. So I scheduled for Thursday at 5 PM. I received a call Thursday morning stating they had an emergency and they were closing at four but because of the situation with my pup I could bring him in before four and he would be seen. I brought him in approxim... read more
Made a reservation, confirmed it and was in touch with them throughout the week to confirm meds for my dog and other logistics. We go to drop off the dogs and were turned away, ruining long existing travel family plans to visit after a long pandemic period. The explanation from several staff members is "I don't know" and "it's an emergency". Not sure how an emergency hospital is not prepared for an emergency but they also made no plans to accommodate the animals in their care nor transfer us to a place that can help. This wa... read more
After many poor experiences here we are finally choosing another vet. Just a few examples: They did not take good care of our dog when we boarded him for several days. They fed him 1/3 of his normal amount and when we picked him up, he was starving and smelled so strongly of urine that we knew they had left him alone in his pen the entire time we were away. They also do not diagnose properly, costing us literally hundreds of dollars for return visits for what should be routine care by any knowledgeable vet. Managers refuse t... read more
This review is only regarding boarding at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital (CPAH), which I have used previously many times over the last six years. I recently picked up my pooch (Mocha) after boarding her from a Thursday (morning drop off) through Sunday (evening pickup). Mocha has skin allergies, due to environmental allergens, and there's something every season to which she has a severe allergy. As a result, she needs to take a daily dose of some medicine to help control her allergies. Otherwise, she tends to scratch more at... read more
I appreciate that they took care of my cat in an urgent notice. However they had to sedate her to do a check on her as she was in too much distress and pain without the sedation. I completely understand the sedation. They sedate her, check her out and cannot find anything wrong with her so they suggest an x-ray for $350. The x-rays come back with nothing wrong. So they inspect her and find that she had 2 puncture wounds in her hind area. Come on! You didn't see the puncture wounds the first time so suggest a $350 X-ray? Tha... read more
I have been going to this vet since I brought my puppy home in March. They seemed to be ok with the visits when he was in and out for routine checkups or shots. However, I took him in to get his nails trimmed and was told to drop him off at 8:00am (he had to be sedated). I asked when I should expect to pick him up and was told around noon as it takes a couple hours for them to wake up from the sedative. Well, 12:00pm came and went. By 1:00pm I was worried. I called them and was told he's JUST now being taken back to get his... read more
