I called on a Tuesday to set up a consult on Thursday to get my dog spayed (Bob Barker told me to). First issue- the guy set the appointment for me and some girl called back (sounding very childish as if she was running it up in the background). "We have to reschedule your appointment. When he set yours I set mine at the same time so we have to reschedule, hahah" There is nothing funny about a dog getting pregnant. She needs to be fixed. So I follow her suggestion and reschedule to Wednesday (not what I wanted- I was ac... read more

I have NEVER in my life been so insulted or disrespected by a "professional" animal hospital/clinic. All 3 of my dogs have been coming here for the past few years, I have referred several clients to them and been nothing but respectful. I have also spent THOUSANDS of dollars with these people (including the $700+ I spent today). After my routine check-ups and visits today, I noticed my 12 year old Maltese was limping. I called and was told that the doctor was no longer there, but to bring her in as urgent care. When I a... read more

We brought our 2 week old kitten in at 8am because he was listless and wouldn't eat after waking that morning. They said nothing seemed wrong with him. We insisted that something was wrong and told them his breathing sounded wet. They agreed to observe him for the day and do regular checks. When we expressed concern that he'd only get looked at every hour but not really cared for, we were assured that they would do more than just peek in at him every hour (i.e., they would at least check vitals, etc.). We told them to d... read more

We have been going to this vet for a few years now. Luckily, it's mostly for regular check ups and shots. The Vets are generally good and knowledgeable. However, this place is managed and run terribly. The staff always seem overwhelmed and too busy. They need more staff to accommodate all the appointments and callsA couple times forgetting that we have checked in, to wait forever in the waiting room. Other occasions, I've called back the pharmacy or the nurses for follow up questions for my visit, the call always goes... read more

Actually Very disappointed. I've spent decades bringing my animals here. Luckily, my animals have been mostly healthy. CPAH was there for me with end of life decisions and kind and courteous all the time. Something has changed. My cat was in for surgery today. After being seen last night at town and country vets (sister practice) we were told to drop off between 8&9 this morning for probable immediate surgery. Did this and was told the Dr. won't be in until 12 or 1. Knowing the surgery was probably 45-60 mins (I worked in a... read more

I have taken my pets to CPAH for 20 years. However, I recently decided to take them to Sunshine Animal Hospital for a number of reasons. It has been increasingly difficult to reach CPAH by phone. Staff who answer the phone seem overwhelmed and disorganized. I scheduled an appointment for an annual checkup CPAH requires in order to refill medicine for my pet. I took my pet to the checkup but they apparently did not do all of the procedures they are supposed to do in order to refill the prescription. When I went to get t... read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I wish I could give this place 0 stars because this place is despicable. Our family dog died and we brought her in to be cremated. We communicated several times that we wanted to keep her ashes and paid for the cremation as well as a paw print. They said it would be ready in one week. About two weeks later they called stating the paw print was ready to be picked up. My brother arrived and asked where the ashes were. The front desk member showed him a form where it was checked that the owner did not want to k... read more

My pups receive outstanding care at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. I've never had to wait long for a scheduled appointment and even for an unscheduled urgent appointment. Would give 5 stars, but check-in/check-out could be more systematic and hold wait times on the phone can be a bit long (because they probably have a busy lobby at the moment). They have friendly, caring staff and reasonable pricing for their services (to include military discount).

This is a long review but it provides evidence as to why you should never bring your pet here for care. After going to this place for over 20 years with 7+ pets, i've decided to take my animals elsewhere due to the constant disregard and disrespect that i've experienced by the staff and vets. 1. I had a cat die in their care about a year ago. he was in perfect health his entire life and suddenly became very lethargic and seemed sick. after taking him in and receiving treatment we took him back home only to have his conditio... read more
