Get directionsI took a sample of my dog's stool in for a fecal test. I dropped it off and paid for it. About 20mins after I left I got a phone call saying I was charged for blood work as-well. At the time I didn't think it was a big deal. I told the receptionist to just keep it as credit for when my dog gets spade I can use it towards the blood work then. Later when it was time for the procedure they now said they won't credit me for it because "it was too late, I was suppose to get it done within a month." Now they blamed it on me ... read more
Do not bring your pet here. I also encourage to report them if you have had a bad experience here so something is done to protect other pets and pet owners.. You can report this vet clinic at https://www.aavsb.org/contact-us/ The vets do not communicate with you and instead send the techs to explain things to you. When you ask to see the doctor you are told you'll be charged more. I am left Wondering why on earth would I be charged more for talking to the doctor that I brought him to see.??? I left having paid close to ... read more
What a difference an individual vet makes. I had SUCH a mixed experience here. The reception staff and vets techs were all great. But here's what happened. I took my dog into urgent care early in the morning for what I thought were fleas but turned out to be baby ticks (GAH). The vet - who I will call vet 1 - was hostile from the moment she walked in and didn't take me seriously. I showed her what was on my dog (little black flecks) and she dismissed it by saying she wasn't an entomologist and couldn't help me. I explained ... read more
I took a healthy functioning dog to them , they were not able to diagnose him, but just did all kinds of scans and imaging and then decided it was best he stay in their care, day 3, they did not want me to take him .. I took him and my dog looked sick, frail. he did not look like my dog at all. well of course let's not forget being billed over $4,300 - for what ????? DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE ! 4 doctors saw my pet, and each one gave a different diagnosis. oh let's not forget he was being seen for a whole week prior.. Sav... read more
There are a few gems at this hospital like Natasha, one of the nurses who took care of my cat at night during her 3 night, 3 day emergency stay, and Drs Kirchart and Flynn who performed her abdominal ultrasound and exploratory surgery/biopsy on my cat so we could get to the root of her GI issues. However, this hospital has some serious shortcomings that make it impossible to rate it more than one star. Throughout my cats stay as well as her post-departure care I attempted to contact vets to discuss results, check on status... read more
Ballston Animal Hospital and this place have something in common, they seem to want to make money. The vet was okay, he was quick to add every possible test for my dog. It was an emergency visit for a suspected UTI and they did radiographs, blood works, etc etc but ultimately determined using a urine examination and microscopy - this is the established protocol from what I found online. Yet, the other tests seemed overkill and I have to feel they were to make more money. I am not returning but in an emergency, they are... read more
i suspected that my dog ate some mouse poison after hours and i didn't know what to do. i searched emergency 24 hour vets around me and this one popped up, about 30 mins away. i called and explained my situation. they said they would see my dog in 2 hours, which gave me enough time to get ready. they also told me to call poison control on my way to start up a case and how to treat my dog. thankfully they told me to call them, because they helped me make the final decision to take her to the hospital bc the type of poison was... read more
Doctors and their assistants are rude these days. Only personable person left is a lady who has been there forever, vet assistant I believe, she's super nice. Other than that the experience makes you feel like you've done something wrong taking your dog for their annual check up. I think this place might be highly incentivized by the money aspect. This place used to have a local family feel now it's an awful feel. Will be switching vets.
I called , thinking this is a 24 hour emergency care for animals my dog will get help right away... but no. The guy on the phone who works the night shift ( I'm assuming ) said they had " too many emergencies" and couldn't see anymore tonight.. but honestly he sounded half asleep and unbothered or uninterested. I'm thankful that my puppy is back to breathing okay FOR NOW while I look up another location close by but the service I received over the phone was completely unacceptable especially for an urgent care. I don't no... read more
