Against my better judgement, I brought my cat in for bloody vomiting-- paid $2000.00 for testing and was told my cat was fine. 48 hours later he died due to heart failure and a diffuse mass in his abdomen. I want Columbia Pike Animal hospital to explain to me why they told me my cat was fine - when he wasn't- and to refund the $2000.00. NO ONE AT THIS VEY OFFICE WILL EXPLAIN THIS TO ME. The medical director- Dr. Barnett told me she would look into this and now is pawning me off to their insurance company. I have emaile... read more

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this clinic. Dr. Oleg Khomutets seemed more focused on pushing expensive procedures than on actually reviewing my pet's medical history or considering practical next steps. Despite my concerns, there was little effort to discuss alternative treatment options, and he was eager in giving me no choices than going for those costly procedures. What frustrated me most was that no medication was provided to take home. This left me with no way to manage my pet's condition in the meanti... read more

Review of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital - Annandale Location I normally don't write reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so that others are aware. On June 2, 2025, I brought in an injured stray cat who was bleeding from his back legs. I paid the exam fee and trusted the staff and Dr. Chad Nishi to provide the right care. I was told the injuries were not life-threatening, that he only needed wound care and stitches, and that with antibiotics and pain medication he would recover. I was quoted nearly $1,0... read more

Run. First off unprofessional. I wasnt trying to judge but most of them have nose rings. I looked past that. The starting doctor was great saw my cat had a heart murmur and took time to get a second opinion and suggested to do an NG instead of regular IV to flush kidneys i gave the approval. They failed to do the NG. Friday evening call he was doing great. Saturday morning i wake up with a message saying his breathing went high. They did a scan and sent it out to check his heart. Got a call later in the morning and I straigh... read more

Columbia Animal Hospital is a disgrace. They don't care about your pet, they care about control and squeezing every dollar they can out of you. They flat out refuse to see your dog unless you give in to their forced vaccines, whether your dog needs them or not. Rabies is the only shot required by Virginia law, but they act like they're above the law and can bully you into unnecessary, overpriced treatments. It's manipulative, greedy, and unethical. I wouldn't trust these people with a goldfish, let alone my dog.

Molly Tango is not only unprofessional, disrespectful. She also has anger issues. I took my dog and drove 35 minutes to see Molly Tango on Monday. My dog gets anxious and scared at the vet, which I informed her assistant in the beginning. She didn't use any a stethoscope, thermometer, tools for examining her eyes and ears. Because she was scared that my 30 pounds corgi would bite her and was overstressed. Overall I refused to accept her recommendation on prescription because it wouldve been inaccurate. The manager wasnt any ... read more

Today, April 22, 2025, at around 5:00 PM, I visited this hospital to get medication for one of my pets. After waiting for almost 10 minutes at the pharmacy window, I asked a tall, burly, dark-haired man where the manager was. This man responded rudely, "Why?" I told him I wanted to file a complaint about waiting for almost 10 minutes to be seen at the pharmacy, and no one was there. This man, mocking me, told me it wasn't necessary for me to speak to the manager. I asked him why he was laughing at me, because I thought it wa... read more

Unfortunately the care has declined at this establishment, my cat was tentatively diagnosed with asthma back in October and put through several different treatment plans and when they couldn't figure out what was causing her symptoms, they referred her to a specialist and dusted their hands, I have spent thousands on the recommendations of the doctors here. I have had issues trying to get a hold of all of her medical records from CPAH, I was also called a bad owner by one of their employees who would even stoop as low as tal... read more

I took my dog in for an ear issue, in which it was determined that he needed to have a small procedure done. The procedure was $500, and I was told to bring him back weekly for 3 check-ups, wherein the check-ups were included in invoice. Took him back week 1 (no charge), week 2 (no charge) and week 3 ($100). I explained that the check-ups were supposed to be free based on instructions I got after surgery. I was told that I was charged because he saw a Dr.! OK, what does that have to do with me? IDK how an animal hospital fun... read more
