Get directionsI had to take my elderly cat in after she suffered a stroke. My regular vet was full and recommended Animal ER care. I was so impressed by their compassion. Every person who helped me was very caring and courteous. We did have to say goodbye, but they made everything as painless as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone with emergency pet issues.
Business response:
Thank you for your kind words, we are so sorry for your loss of your sweet cat. Please know our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
The initial vet examination fee here is $180!!!!! for context that is $30 more than the emergency vet on Uintah. When I took my dog in she was "urgent" but not "emergent" so they said it would be 8-9 HOURS of a wait. Just... what on earth are they doing over here...???
Business response:
It sounds like you were able to be seen sooner at another hospital; we’re glad for that. As you mentioned we were very busy and we’re thankful there are other options in the area.
From the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left, these people were the most compassionate, caring, understanding, patient, wonderful human beings, I have ever seen. I walked in a complete, crying mess, and they were so understanding. The vet, Dr. Hess, was a Godsend. After a quality of life exam, I had to put my 17-year-old cat down, and it was heartbreaking. They were so kind through the entire process. They gave my son a stuffed cat. I felt the price was reasonable, much lower than I had anticipated. I cannot ... read more

Hi Jill C. - Thank you for the kind words. Please know you and your son are in our thoughts as you grieve the loss of your sweet fur baby and will pass along your kind note to Dr. Hess and our staff.
Before typing the first letter of this review, I'm in tears. I'm struggling with this duality of a shattered heart that keeps putting each piece back where it came from. Shattered by the utter loss of my soul pup, Lulu; pieces mending themselves through the sheer force of my faith in humans being restored through the actions of each and every staff member that makes up this AERC office. Lu's breed (pug) is most Veterinary Office's worst nightmare when they arrive panting. Details of her symptoms and ultimate breaking point a... read more

Hi Stephanie - First, please know that you and Lu are in our thoughts during this difficult time. Grieving is never easy, especially the loss of your soul pup. Thank you for your kind review and genuine understanding of how hard our line of work can be. You and Lu are why we choose to serve our community and why our staff do what they do. Triage is never an easy process, as we hope to save every patient that comes through our doors. As you mentioned in your review, finding the right staff to fit the culture of our practice t... read more
I would not give this HORRIBLE, UNCARING, unprofessional, heartless untrained people that should not be working any more let a line with beloved pets!! Britney the so called wannabe nurse.. took every animal back prior to taking my little Yorkie.. BLEEDING PURE BLOOD AND FAINTING WHILE URINATING AND TOLD HE HAD A VERY HIGH HEART RATE!! Well.. after seeing did. after dig going back with hurt paws !! Chocked an hour prior but THST was an emergency!! Business response:
Dear Ms. Debra - As our CEO, Brielle, shared in the direct email sent to you earlier this week, it is clear we are not a good fit for you, and the parting is mutual. Kayla, Jennifer, and Britni are extremely compassionate, caring, intelligent, and skilled veterinary professionals and we're truly honored they are part of the AERC Team. We are extremely privileged to work alongside of them and it is disheartening that some people choose to treat them poorly when they give their all to help as many hurting pets as possible. We ... read more
I took my five and a half month old golden retriever puppy, Parker, to Animal ER Care because he was having loose stools and vomiting to the point where he could not keep any food down. It was a weekend, so my regular vet was not open. The staff at Animal ER care were amazing! They were so kind and Parker loved them. Even though he had to have some unpleasant tests done, he still loved the staff. The facility is very nice and even had a TV in the room with Netflix to watch while I waited. The staff were very up front with co... read more

Hello Francesca G. - We hope Parkier is feeling better. We are thrilled to hear that you were impressed with our competent and compassionate staff, as well as our great facilities. We also appreciate your kind words about our upfront communication regarding costs. We hope Parker does not have another emergency, but please know we are here for you 24/7.
Horrible experience here. Gave them two tries and after spending close to 2400 dollars left with no diagnosis. They definitely do not seem to care about the pets themselves, didn't even receive a check up call to make sure my dog was doing ok.
Business response:
Hi Heather B. - We are heavyhearted reviewing your review. It is always our goal to provide updates to owners during their visit and missed the mark during your visit. We will continue to work hard to shore up our processes to provide the communication needed to clients while still providing the highest level of care for all patients.
I am so thankful for this place and believe they saved my dog, Murphy's life. I noticed my dog was shivering yesterday and was also suffering from Kennel cough. He had an appointment on this upcoming Tuesday to see his regular vet at Cheyenne Animal Hospital, but after a quick call they told me I should take him to the ER due to possible fever and pneumonia. They recommended Animal ER Care and so glad they did. When I arrived, we were quickly greeted by the triage nurse and took us around back to get us in a room and to be i... read more

Hi Ryan N. - Thank you for your wonderful review and update on Murphy. We are happy we could be here for you and your family during such a stressful time. It is always our goal to provide exceptional service and hearing that our doctor and staff, at both our locations, provided such great care is heartwarming. We are grateful for you and the opportunity to help Murphy!
Their triage system needs some work. If your pet is labeled a non-urgent case you will continuously be bumped. If my pet is labeled non-urgent the business should extend the courtesy of informing me and allowing me to decide whether to wait 4+ hours. I'm not convinced that the employee making the triage determination had adequate qualifications. My vet office advised me that my situation could be urgent and to seek care sooner than later. I provided records which were not available to the veterinarian.
Business response:
Hi Katie F. - Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. We completely understand how extended wait times can be frustrating and it is our aim to keep every client updated as those wait times change. It looks like we have missed the mark on execution during your visit. We will continue to work hard to support the needs of our community the best we can while still providing the highest level of care.
