Spoiler alert: the worst ER service here in Colorado Springs! I checked my dog in via the online system they have set up at around 8 AM. I also called to check-in just in case. They gave me an "estimate" time of 5-7 hours. I was okay waiting this long because my dog wasn't as critically ill as others and it's an ER, so wait time is eI waited 3 hours in my car and then went into the building because my phone had died. We brought our dog in at 11:00am and he stayed there till 8:00pm that day and was not seen at all during that time due to the dogs with bigger issues being put ahead of him. We called several times throughout the day to see when he would be seen and there were always 2 to 3 dogs ahead of him. It got to the point where there were 6 dogs ahead of him in the early evening. I can't say enough great things about this place! Dr. Julie Hesse... THANK YOU for all you do and for taking such great care of Oliver for the night. Even with a broken heart you and your staff helped make the transition bearable.

An excellent animal ER. We took our cat in on a Sunday, and they took great care of her. I am especially impressed at the high level of communication and compassion of the staff. Gil especially is very good with cats and keeping us informed what was going on and what to expect next. Much appreciated. They're also very mindful of COVID-19 precautions at this site, which is great to see.

I would like to say "Thank you so very much" to Dr. Price, Dr. Doyle, Dr. Cordelli, and the entire staff of Animal ER, as well as Dr. Miles and the entire staff of Southern Colorado Internal Medicine for taking care of my 19-year-old cat Monster and me too. Monster had been on chemo for over 4 years for small cell intestinal lymphoma. We just moved to Colorado Springs from San Diego, which was a long trip for Monster as well. Okay, so on Christmas Eve our little puppy Daisy was not feeling too well. So we found this hospital on Yelp with good ratings! We decided to go there. As we went we needed to park and scan to register our puppy. We did so, and waited. And waited... and waited. We went in at about 945am and was not scene till 3pm. Yeah 5 hours of waiting was not the business. We knew they had to go in order of priority and yet they were short staff. They didn't have a second doctor just one. Which was odd. :( me and my dog were waiting for more than an hour and the tech ended up telling me to wait to get some help because my dog was way too scared with the tech who came out to check vital signs for my dog... I waited and waited ... watching other dogs were being checked.... I had to tell them I would just leave since I was waiting too long- no apologies, nothing:( basically "bye" I would not go back- the tech was not very friendly from my experience-

The care is always great- though pricey. But we do what we have to for our furbabies. The wait- so long.... was told it would be 2 hours.... 4 hours later still waiting. Others came and went while I waited. Finally came to get her, vet called, needed to do tests. Half hour she said.... 90 minutes later finally a call back. Then it took another 1/2 hour to out process. All in all 6 hours. I so appreciate the care... just not the wait. Can't help but think we got forgotten. Or they were seriously understaffed.

My husband took our dog there this long weekend on Sunday as his suture site from mast cell tumor had completely opened up. He waited for a couple of hours and a vet tech gave him some guaze with cleaner on it. Told him to keep it clean and see vet on Tuesday. Today, My Grand champion show dog is now in surgery for emergency closure and antibiotics.
