Our pup went downhill extremely rapidly with an untreatable, aggressive form of cancer last year, and the staff here did a fantastic job of diagnosis and helping her pass comfortably. WOW very expensive! We took our little dog into this ER and it cost us a fortune $2600.00 for treatment and a one night stay and to top that off they sent home some medication with us and it was 4 to five times the dosage it should have been. One medication calls for 1 to 3 mg three times a day for a total of 3 to 9 mg they had us giving our dog 20 mg three times a day for a total of 60 mg a level that would have killed him. I must say I'm darkness comes light. 08/22/2021 we found out our poor little Mocha had congenital heart disease. So much so it was impacting his breathing to an extreme. Where we bought Mocha from told us no defects no problems no issues. Well they lied and never buy a animal from pet city in Colorado Springs citadel mall. Absolutely ridiculous!!! The wait times here are unreal. Not to mention the fact that they nickel and dime you to death. They recommend all kinds of "tests", all kinds of "treatments", and "plans" that are unnecessary. I was also told I needed certain medications to help with symptoms my dog didn't even have. I swear, if you can wait till morning to run your dog to your own vet I would wait. That's what I should have done. Had to euthanize beloved cat. They were so very compassionate, professional, and responsive. Left water bottle there in grief and they still had it when I returned for ashes. They use Lasting Paws for memorial services (paw prints, ashes) and it was very well done. Thank you!
Absolutely enjoyed the Vet but the lack of communication beyond that is horrible. We sat in our vehicle from 12:30-6 am when they finally told us we should go home and come back in an hour. We had an in person interaction with Brittany and then a phone conversation with her as well, both times she was rude and very condescending. They kept saying "we will call you in a few minutes" and wouldn't. My dog had gotten hurt did not know what it was took him to animal er care they got it figured out fast were very careful with my hurt dog and always keeping me up to date on his progress and were so friendly to me my mom and uncle
Spoiler alert: the worst ER service here in Colorado Springs! I checked my dog in via the online system they have set up at around 8 AM. I also called to check-in just in case. They gave me an "estimate" time of 5-7 hours. I was okay waiting this long because my dog wasn't as critically ill as others and it's an ER, so wait time is eI waited 3 hours in my car and then went into the building because my phone had died. We brought our dog in at 11:00am and he stayed there till 8:00pm that day and was not seen at all during that time due to the dogs with bigger issues being put ahead of him. We called several times throughout the day to see when he would be seen and there were always 2 to 3 dogs ahead of him. It got to the point where there were 6 dogs ahead of him in the early evening.
