Glad to have this ER accessible and they have helped some of our most challenging animals. We are happy with all the staff here, they are responsive and helpful. They go above and beyond to provide excellent care.

Business response:

We would like to look into your feedback further as this is uncharacteristic of our communications style and documentation; however we would need additional information. If you are open to providing more details, please reach out to our Practice Manager, Kayla, at 908-235-2653 or Kayla@animalERcare.com.

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY. DO NOT. Okay, let's throw down. Waited over 5 hours and kept getting bumped down the list, I get it because I, in no way, would ever deny that someone's furbaby is not critical, but we still had a case to the point where our vet told us to go here. We were TOLD TO GO STRAIGHT HERE AFTER HIS APPOINTMENT. All because this was to bypass the booked up specialist on normal terms and book their emergency specialist appointment. This place ignored every piece of paper and instruction we had from our vet. A... read more

Our CEO, Gabrielle David, would be more than happy to discuss your experience with our practice directly; please feel free to contact her at 332-9732. We do, though, feel it is only prudent to address some of your comments in our reply. AERC is one of two, 24/7 ER practices in Colorado Springs, and Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine is the sole internal medicine practice servicing our vast community. While both of our practices strive to meet the needs of our community, we must prioritize cases appropriately in ... read more

The first day I was here I was going to write a more negative review due to the fact i had to wait in the car with my sick dog from 10am-5pm and was very frustrated. But, now I have nothing but good things to say. My dog had to be in the ICU for two days and they took great care of her and i was allowed to go in and see her. The techs and vets always stopped to answer my questions and concerns and the front desk never got annoyed with me checking in so frequently and have any questions about the bills. I know that er care is... read more

We didn't get the news we had hoped for, but I can't thank the staff enough for their professionalism and compassion. Our pup went downhill extremely rapidly with an untreatable, aggressive form of cancer last year, and the staff here did a fantastic job of diagnosis and helping her pass comfortably. A family ER vet who unfortunately lives hours away was also providing phone guidance, and assured me each step of the way that the staff here was extremely competent in their decisions and advice. I will undoubtably be keeping t... read more

WOW very expensive! We took our little dog into this ER and it cost us a fortune $2600.00 for treatment and a one night stay and to top that off they sent home some medication with us and it was 4 to five times the dosage it should have been. One medication calls for 1 to 3 mg three times a day for a total of 3 to 9 mg they had us giving our dog 20 mg three times a day for a total of 60 mg a level that would have killed him. The vet we are seeing now has got his medication straightened out. Avoid this over priced ER at all ... read more

I must say I'm darkness comes light. 08/22/2021 we found out our poor little Mocha had congenital heart disease. So much so it was impacting his breathing to an extreme. Where we bought Mocha from told us no defects no problems no issues. Well they lied and never buy a animal from pet city in Colorado Springs citadel mall. The technician that first initially looked at Mocha was very sweet and kind. Made us feel welcomed and actually cared for. Better then even most human hospitals in the state. They take him back for x ray a... read more

Absolutely ridiculous!!! The wait times here are unreal. Not to mention the fact that they nickel and dime you to death. They recommend all kinds of "tests", all kinds of "treatments", and "plans" that are unnecessary. I was also told I needed certain medications to help with symptoms my dog didn't even have. I swear, if you can wait till morning to run your dog to your own vet I would wait. That's what I should have done. Walked away with a bill 4 times the price if I would have just taken my dog the next day to my vet. Onl... read more

Had to euthanize beloved cat. They were so very compassionate, professional, and responsive. Left water bottle there in grief and they still had it when I returned for ashes. They use Lasting Paws for memorial services (paw prints, ashes) and it was very well done. Thank you!

Absolutely enjoyed the Vet but the lack of communication beyond that is horrible. We sat in our vehicle from 12:30-6 am when they finally told us we should go home and come back in an hour. We had an in person interaction with Brittany and then a phone conversation with her as well, both times she was rude and very condescending. They kept saying "we will call you in a few minutes" and wouldn't. When I asked Brittany if I could get a call back her response s was "this is an ER and we have a lot of patients and will see what ... read more

We are deeply saddened to hear of your phone interaction with one of our staff; this is not reflected of who we are and, we can confidently say, not the norm for our amazing team.
