IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DONT GO HERE! The owner is a joke. She talks down to you and treats you like a POS! She called me a liar and they refused to give my dying dog pain meds so that I could say goodbye. This place took my goodbye from me!!! Just read the bad reviews there are so many negative reviews it's not even funny and they are all true. They refused to take hair from my baby saying I should have already done that. One lady told me they took the hair and lost it. This owner just lied to me yelled at me and was so unprof... read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS ER! I drove my Yorkie to Animal ER Care yesterday as my Yorkie was having her puppy. The puppy was halfway out and she appeared to be having difficulty pushing him out. I arrived at the ER and asked if they would help me. This is my first time experiencing this and I was afraid for my dog. There was zero concern about my dog. From START to FINISH I spoke with the finance team. Before they even cared for her they brought out a paper for me to sign stating what the examination costs would be. Th... read more

would be lower if I had a way to post it. 5 hour wait for Vet with a bleeding dog. Totally unacceptable. If you need care make sure your pet is young enough to live to be seen. Emergency care is a joke at this place.

Our dog suffered what appeared to be a major stroke Sunday evening. When we arrived at Animal ER Care , we were quickly placed in an examination room where we waited for 2 hours with no contact from the staff. I eventually had to find someone to check on our dog, and that took 30 minutes for a tech to come in the room to take her vitals. After more time passed she was taken in the back for "observation". After another 2 hours we were told we were 3rd in line and our dog was becoming agitated in her kennel. After more than 4 ... read more

WOW very expensive! We took our little dog into this ER and it cost us a fortune $2600.00 for treatment and a one night stay and to top that off they sent home some medication with us and it was 4 to five times the dosage it should have been. One medication calls for 1 to 3 mg three times a day for a total of 3 to 9 mg they had us giving our dog 20 mg three times a day for a total of 60 mg a level that would have killed him. The vet we are seeing now has got his medication straightened out. Avoid this over priced ER at all ... read more

This is a must read review for any animal lover and pet owner in Colorado Springs. 2 weeks ago I had to take my Cockashon Yoshi to the ER over on Powers. He had a violent reaction to the pain med Rovera administered after Cherry Eye surgery a few days earlier. Here's the review I wrote after a horrible experience there. https://www.yelp.com/biz/powers-pet-emergency-and-specialty-colorado-springs?hrid=Px5WqGolrYchE4dI_Miqog Yesterday, my other Cockashon managed to eat a cherry pit which can be deadly to dogs. I rushed him ... read more

What happened to me happened three years ago. I was so devastated that I didn't want to write about it, but realized I had to so people know what to expect fro this place. One Saturday, my 9 YO pitty stumbled and seemed to be wheezing for a second, but he quickly recovered. My wife and I freaked out and brought him here, during which time he seemed fine. After 2 hours of waiting, we were told that they wanted to do X-rays on his chest, lungs, and stomach to determine the cause of the stumbling. We said that's fine, and afte... read more

This is a "place of business", not a veterinary hospital. We brought our German Shepherd in for emergency treatment because he was throwing up heavy amounts of blood and was becoming excessively weak after our vet closed for the evening. When I arrived and told them he had been throwing up blood for 2 days, they tell me I have to pay $500 before they can see him. They take my dog back, do X-rays and blood work, come back to tell me the X-rays showed nothing, blood work looked good except for anemia from loss of blood and n... read more

If you're searching for the James Herriot experience Animal Dental Care of Colorado Springs (a.k.a. Tony M. Woodward DVM/a.k.a. Well Pets/a.k.a. Woodward Veterinary Services P. C.) is not for you. This practice is cash-driven. My husband and I expected a markup for specialty dental treatment and equipment, but not an invoice exceeding our monthly mortgage. An average dental cleaning for a dog weighing less than 20lbs at a veterinary practice will run a patient between $175 and $250. A similar cleaning at Animal Dental ... read more
