I had to euthanize my 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier because he was suffering from kidney and liver shutdown and was in quite of bit pain. Waldorf Emergency Care handled this with great care and compassion and I held him until he left this world. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous.
So you need to understand that this is an emergency clinic and the only 24hr one for most of southern Maryland. They are very very busy due to this fact but it's just like any other emergency room. Our dog was very sick and we took him here and they communicated everything and really helped us not be so stressed. Yes it was a long wait but it's an emergency room so . The staff was patient and understanding. They cared for Duncan with the utmost professionalism and personal attention anyone would want for their pet. Visiting him was allowed and they provided excellent types of food for me to try to get him to eat. They went above and beyond the call of duty retrieving my shirt I left there for Duncan's separation anxiety. It's an emergency hospital, so buckle up buttercup, premium services come at a premium. This was my first experience with WE Care and it was amazing. The staff as very friendly and knowledgeable and my dog was examined by Dr. Baynes. I am extremely familiar with Dr. Baynes as he was one of my favorite doctors at banfield Waldorf and is an amazing doctor! Thanks team, Chino is improving already the medication is working so far!
Two weeks ago I rushed my cat Tom-tom to the Waldorf emergency care facility in Waldorf Md. our beloved boy encountered a traumatic home accident. I called when I arrived in the parking lot. within minutes a nurse tech came out and got Tom-tom. Once she was inside with my cat, they called and put Dr. Baynes on the phone. I don't know about anyone else experience but the experience I received was top notch! EVERYONE I dealt with from the front desk lady, the tech who came to get my baby to the vet all showed empathy and compassion to me during a very stressful and unexpected emergency surgery my 6 pound Yorkie had to have. Brought my cat here for a Urine blockage obstruction and they acted fast. Expensive?? YES but my cat was in pain & it was a life or death situation. Based on the symptoms I saw first hand, I researched and already knew something was wrong with his bladder. Well I was right and the doctor explained everything that was going on, and what procedure would be done. This hospital was amazing and I highly recommend them! For about a month my dog has been showing signs of possible having a pyrometra. So one night at about 11pm my dogs finally showed me the final sign that I needed to see of the pyrometra (vaginal discharge). So I rushed my dog to the hospital on a Saturday night. They did blood work and x rays and confirmed that my dog had a pyrometra and was going to need an emergency spay. Another late-night trip taken care of quickly. I could have skipped it but when your blind cat's remaining eye looks sick, you move fast; and, as this is my wife's favorite AND the instructions were from my wife... He's fine, likely some chronic condition starting. It makes the eye flash oddly when the light hit it just right. He'll probably have this one removed soon, poor little guy.
