It's been three months since my dog died and I can finally write this review. Please consider another vet. Last summer, my dog was panting so much that he'd wake me up at night. I took him to Town & Country (his vet) and saw a new vet (they rotate it seems) and she said that it was his way of expressing pain. She indicated that it was likely arthritis and a $300.00 x-ray confirmed it. Then, earlier this year, same type of behavior, but he was drinking lots and lots of water and urinating all the time. Again, I took him ... read more
Read article in paper about Vet volunteering in Ukraine, was quite moved. Such vet was Dr Katsur with Town and Country. It was stated that there was fund raising for shelters in Ukraine via crowdfunding. Not certain how to go about it, i emailed her a)expressed congrads to her for her work b) however, lengthy, i outlined my dogs history and expressed interested bringing him to her.c) offered to donate $200 to her cause of opening shelter in ukraine. A)NO RESPONSE. 1- MAIL FELL THROUGH CRACKS, 2- TOO BUSY TO RESPOND, ALHTOUG... read more
Despite my concerns with the inexperience of some of the newer vets, this practice is still excellent because their office management is stellar. Responsive to emails and quick to submit my dog's prescriptions.
I would give them 0 stars if possible. The WORST veterinary clinic I have ever been to. The staff is rude and do not care about your time or your pets. They gave my dog too high of a dosage of medication for diarrhea and she had a seizure!! SAVE YOUR PETS AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE PLEASE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS!!!! I waited for my scheduled appointment for 1 hour and it was all because they mis-scheduled me for an hour later and didn't tell me! The manager said she would comp my fee for waiting and even after switchi... read more
Updating my review. T&C are making changes and they have been positive so far. Doctors are all still great and I have noticed improvements in the front office which is where most of my complaints have been. I hope to continue to be able to increase my rating.
I have gone to T&C for 35+ years, at first they were caring but not anymore. Particularly when they opened the new place they started to go really downhill. I do not get to discuss what is wrong with my pet, the reception staff is mostly rude, the vet's are swamped and busy ringing up costs on you. Once upon a time the vets (Parker, Charemay, Christmas, etc) were caring but not anymore. No one ever gets back to you when you call the front desk and leave a message. It is a business the bedside manner is gone, oh well so am... read more
First negative experience: they sent an obviously inexperienced/new person back when I had to put down my almost 9 year old Great Dane. So paperwork that should have taken 10-15 minutes took 20-30 minutes (we got there at 10 am, we didn't leave until 1050). An already stressful/sad experience was made worse by their incompetence (and yes I understand a new employee may not know what to do, but under the circumstances an inexperienced person should never have been assigned to this type of appointment). My pet was addition... read more
We used them for spay surgery and had to return twice because the wound was not healing correctly. I understand those things can happen, but each time we came we were incorrectly billed for medication or an e-collar we already had and didn't need. Each time, I had to request the erroneous charges be taken off my bill. On my second visit, they asked me to come back to the office because they realized they didn't give me the correct medication. After the final visit, the vet called my cell as I sat in the waiting room and... read more
Our current pets are 14yo and 10yo Standard Poodles, whose entire lives had relied upon Town & Country Animal Hospital. For most of that time their DVM always was Dr Cheramie, an exceptionally kind, caring, and conscientious individual, who was there for every visit, until he moved to another State. Thereafter, our hope was that we'd have another doctor the pets would see at each visit, providing consistency and comfort for pets and owners. Then our new preferred DVM didn't honor their appointments. Just handed them off to a... read more
