We had a great experience with Dr. Natt and his staff when we got TPLO surgeries done for our dog. Their cost estimates were very reasonable. We needed to get the surgery done in BOTH the legs :( but Now after both the surgeries, we feel much better looking at dog's recovery. Dr. Natt also suggested good alternatives for dog's allergies and flea medicines.
I recently took my cat here to clear a urinary obstruction. If you don't want to read any further, just read this: Dr. Natt and his team are incredible and you should consider taking your pet(s) for treatment here. To be fair, all veterinary clinics have really friendly folks, but I feel that Serra's approach to treating animals is very old-school; that is, incredibly personal and taking the time and following up to make sure everything is right with my pet. Dr. Natt did TPLO surgery 8 weeks ago on one of our pups, Leela and she is recovering extremely well. We have had experience with TPLO surgery and recovery because our pittie Ace unfortunately had both of his knees done at other surgeons and has recovered to full function so we knew what to expect with the lengthy post-op journey but Leela's post surgery recovery beat all our expectations. We were going to Poland and made vaccine and a travel certificate with Dr. Kate. And after that I drove to Sacramento 8 days before the flight with: - ORIGINAL health certificate, - rabies vaccination certificate - cashier check to endorse it at USDA. I had an issue with details in the certificate - date of implantation of the chip, so we fixed it while I was there thankfully to Pam, who helped me by sending email with updated data to USDA. We had the worst experience with this hospital just a few days ago. It was a total nightmare, and I wish it had never happened. My husband took our dog in because the dog had some problem with one of her legs. She is 6-year old, a quiet, sweet golden retriver. The vet decided to take X-ray, which was fine. However everything went horribly wrong after they used anesthesia to put dog under sleep. They picked a medicine (Telazol) that was known for bad side effect on dogs. When our dog was hit by a car, I called Serra Vet two minutes before our arrival there. When we got there they had everything set up and a team ready to work on our beloved dog. I was welcomed with open arms and they took care of me too. The amazing staff went above and beyond to try and save our dog, and on such short notice and so late in the day too. I cannot recommend Serra Vet enough.
My boyfriend and I came home from work yesterday and noticed that our dog had broken her molar. Our usual vet had closed for the evening so we had to search on yelp for clinics close by that could still see us after 6pm. Serra Veterinary Hospital was open til 8pm, and not only did they agree to see us that same evening, but also showed us straight to the doctor's office once we had arrived- they knew how urgent this was for us. Another wonderful experience at Serra. Brought our dog because she was having some stomach issues for the last few days. The staff was very caring and they even cut her nails for us. One thing I really appreciated was that Dr Natt made time to see her even though he was busy with surgery
