Where experience matters. Family Owned and Operated. Santa Monica Pet Medical Center has been serving the Westside since 1961. Our doctors and senior staff have been with us, on average, for over 15 years. That's experience and dedication that you're not going to find at any other hospital. We only schedule 30 minute appointments so that you and your doctor can have a complete, un-rushed conversation about your pet's health. We are family owned and operated. That means that we make our own decisions about what treatment plan... read more

I meant to do this write up a year or two ago I took Dodger my best bud for nearly 15 yrs to this center and they've always been professional friendly and easy to work with. To cap it all when it was time for us to send my bud to Doggie heaven Dr Amelia Harris allowed me to have him sat next to me in the truck he always rode shotgun in ( out in parking lot) to take his last ride with Dad Im tearing up thinking about it ( we both cried at the time) she helped me turn a tragic experience into a sad yet beautiful memory
Fantastic place for care and treatment of your pets. The vets and the staff are caring and great with my cats.
Dr B. and her staff were excellent. We are here from NY and they couldn't have been more caring and attentive with us. Thank you- Snuggles family
I adopted my now 3 month old puppy (Pocket) in the middle of May and took her here when she needed her second round of vaccines. It was my first time ever coming to Santa Monica Pet Medical Center. They had to do a medical assessment appointment in order to administer her shots and flea medication since it was our first appointment there. I ended up buying their ear cleaning solution and tooth paste to prevent issues in the future with my puppy's health, which in all was $200. They also wanted to test her feces for parasites... read more
I would just like to take a moment to thank Dr Lopez for taking care of my English Bulldog"BO". Bo had an enlarged heart that was diagnosed about 5 years ago. I started seeing Dr Lopez at Studio City Animal Hospital and followed him to Santa Monica Pet Medical Center. What an amazing Dr. I had to have him put down on Memorial Day May 28 2018. I always told myself "I will have him treated for anything" at the time Bo could not walk or was in pain- it was time. It truly broke my heart. Thank you to Dr Lopez and his staff f... read more

This place has unusually long waits, a cramped parking lot, possibly the rudest desk staff and some vets who care more about saving their own hides than your pet's. But PMC has a fantastic technician named Myra, and I know Dr. Yuan from his former job. He was very patient and helpful when I was out of town, and my cat sitter needed help. She called Dr. Yuan, and he walked her through helping my Siamese. So if you do go, ask for Myra and Dr. Yuan.
The veterinarian we saw to help figure out what was wrong with my cat's leg was awesome. From her (Dr Tolliver) recommendation we took Lulu Bella to the emergency center they recommended. Two other vet visits at different businesses were sloppy and left her issue undiagnosed. Veterinarians are pricy, but not as expensive as emergency service. I am very thankful to have found them, every vet, technician and office support person has been stellar. Take your fur babies in for yearly checks. It is worth it.
I have a totally feral cat who developed a severe eye problem which made her ill enough for me to catch and bring to the vet. Dr. Isaacs was fantastic in handling her. Although I was unsure of how the cat would tolerate being confined indoors with a C collar and receiving eye drops every 3-4 hours, I agreed. Dr. Isaacs called nearly every day to monitor her progress. Without her caring support, I don't know if I would have tried. After 10 days, though, Tootsie is 100% better and back outside where she is happiest.
