We recently had a wonderful experience at Pet Medical with Dr. Williams, who is new to the center and has an impressive background. My cat was presenting with vomiting and diarrhea. Tests were performed (Pet Medical always gives me a printout of the estimate before they proceed). It was pancreatitis. Follow-up appointment has been made. We've been coming here for 10 years and have never been treated rudely by staff, or overcharged, or made to wait weeks for an appointment, as some reviewers claim. Love Dr. Hernandez. Only vet that sees my 4 leggers through all the years. Long time client. Staff always takes care of me. Last couple of years has been a learning curve, but always been able to get in when needed.

When our beloved veterinarian Dr. Graham retired she highly recommended Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for our future veterinary needs. I clearly remember Dr. Graham's mentioning about this veterinary center's principle of never putting their profit over the pet's welfare -though at that time I did not realized how important that factor was. We're so grateful for Dr. Hillebrand & the super kind staff at Santa Monica Pet Medical Center. Our sweet Alfie had extreme teeth chattering & the doctor agreed to see Alfie in between other patients at 4:30 pm on a Saturday night (they close at 6:00). Dr. Hillebrand was friendly, a good communicator, caring, and sent Alfie home with pain meds until his upcoming teeth cleaning. Thank you to everyone there! We have taken Alfie for care for the past 8 years intermittently, and have always had great experiences.

I am so happy I found Santa Monica Pet Medical and Dr Hernandez several years ago. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable and kind. They really care. Dr Hernandez always spends the time explaining everything to me and doing the extra tests so we have all the information. The communication is excellent and I haven't had trouble getting an appointment. They don't over charge or upsell and are very clear with estimates up front. This vet has changed my whole outlook on vets in LA. after having a shocking experience for many months at two other vets, this one was recommended to me and has not disappointed. From the reception (either on the phone or at the surgery), to email responsiveness, and then finally to the care, service, professionalism and friendliness of the team Santa Monica Pet Medical has been outstanding. Aww, I love Santa Monica Pet Medical Center but most importantly, so does my cat! My first cat loved them as well. The quality of care and connection between humans and pets is in all of the staff members! I refuse to go anywhere else after 7 years! This is the best place for your pet, hands down. They offer the best in technology and have an exceptional group of veterinarians and medical staff. Dr. Yuen was amazing, and so is Dr. Hernandez. I happened upon this group events when my older dog was in need of acupuncture. They came highly recommended and now I know why! Every single person in the practice is kind, caring and always seems happy to help with whatever is going on with your pets. Unfortunately I lost my pup to a stroke only 6 months after coming here and you would've thought they' had known him forever!
