I am so happy I found Santa Monica Pet Medical and Dr Hernandez several years ago. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable and kind. They really care. Dr Hernandez always spends the time explaining everything to me and doing the extra tests so we have all the information. The communication is excellent and I haven't had trouble getting an appointment. They don't over charge or upsell and are very clear with estimates up front. This vet has changed my whole outlook on vets in LA. after having a shocking experience for many months at two other vets, this one was recommended to me and has not disappointed. From the reception (either on the phone or at the surgery), to email responsiveness, and then finally to the care, service, professionalism and friendliness of the team Santa Monica Pet Medical has been outstanding. Aww, I love Santa Monica Pet Medical Center but most importantly, so does my cat! My first cat loved them as well. The quality of care and connection between humans and pets is in all of the staff members! I refuse to go anywhere else after 7 years! This is the best place for your pet, hands down. They offer the best in technology and have an exceptional group of veterinarians and medical staff. Dr. Yuen was amazing, and so is Dr. Hernandez. I happened upon this group events when my older dog was in need of acupuncture. They came highly recommended and now I know why! Every single person in the practice is kind, caring and always seems happy to help with whatever is going on with your pets. Unfortunately I lost my pup to a stroke only 6 months after coming here and you would've thought they' had known him forever! Local place I've been taking my elderly mutt to for years. I've met most of the doctors at this office and they've all been, without reservation, absolutely top-notch. During one emergency trip, my dog was struggling to recover from a seizure and they saved his life. During another, they found a lung tumor and recommended a surgeon which saved his life again. I'm so grateful that we found Dr Bijlani and SMPMC. Dr Bijlani is so kind and thorough, patiently walks us through our options anytime we need to make a decision, and is upfront with costs and trade offs. I trust her completely with our dog who has complicated medical issues, and also appreciate that she has empathy for us pet owners and how much we care about our pets. They also have done a fantastic job managing everything during Covid & it's much appreciated.

I am a first-time puppy mom and I ask a lot of questions, to say the least. Dr. Bijlani and the entire team at Santa Monica Pet Medical Center are phenomenal. I was referred by a good friend and she couldn't have been more right. The staff is wonderful, always responsive and willing to help. My puppy, Maggie Mae, was spayed this week and she had a great experience-- as did her mawm! :) If I could give Dr. B., Robin, Brimley, Emily and the rest of the staff 10 stars, I would. Highly recommend!

Took our new puppy here and they were so nice. The pup also had diarrhea and we called and the doctor called back right away and was so helpful!!
