I've been taking my dog Rosie to Santa Monica Pet Medical Center for the past 6 years. Just this morning, I took her in for her annual rattlesnake vaccine. Their vet tech Max couldn't be nicer - professional, kind, caring and knew exactly how to administer the shot without causing undue stress and trauma. We just got a new puppy and he went in yesterday for his first visit. Everyone was so friendly and gentle with him. He is going to be a big dog so ease of handling is going to be mandatory in the future, and they were so helpful by allowing me to handle him for the exam and create a positive association with the entire process and visit. I have had five dogs over the past 30 years and every single one of them has received excellent care from the doctors, techs and receptionists at SMPMC. Everyone is always friendly, welcoming and accommodating during both regular check-ups and emergencies. Dr. George is amazing and I can't recommend him enough. Dr. Annie Hernandez has been my veterinarian for over 20 years. I always recommend and refer people to SMPMC. And and the staff at the Santa Monica pet medical center are awesome.
Today I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Jones and my puppy Minnie. Everybody in the office was truly amazing, their knowledge and expertise and their compassion is above what you normally see. Minnie was not in any way nervous while we were there and that was a huge sign that we knew we were in the right place. And I am so happy to return to Dr. Jones and the new staff at this location since my return to living in Santa Monica. I highly recommend them.
I've been going to Santa Monica pet medical for a about 4 years now, although I'll admit they are probably a bit pricey, they've always shown genuine care for my dog. The first time I ever went the vet made sure not to note that my dog had a rash because she knew I was getting pet insurance and it would raise the price so she took it off the record. Despite not being a patient of SMPMC for nearly 7 years due to a move to Northern California, I had to contact them recently to help provide medical records for my dog for an upcoming international trip given some recent changes by the EU for an International Health Certificate. The staff was so kind and understanding over the phone, and escalated my needs to the owners right away in order to turn around the necessary paperwork quickly so that our documents for travel could be approved!
