I love Lakeside Animal Hospital. Have taken my two Pugs there for 10 years and received the best care. One was an older dog with all kinds of issues and the other was a new puppy that I wanted to get on a good wellness plan from the beginning. Great place go -- friendly and thorough.

I have been taking my pets to Lakeside for over a decade, and although I've moved to a different part of town, I would drive however far needed to keep my furkids under the care of Dr. Gonzalez. While they have undergone some staffing changes over the past decade, including a few vets through the practice, The constant has been Dr. G. and her dedication to her patients. I have been going to Lakeside Animal hospital for almost 2 years now for my adopted dog's many medical needs and Dr. Gonzales has proven to be a fantastic vet. As always, Dr. Gonzales has an excellent table-side manner with her furry patients and knew how to handle my highly-strung, very fearful American Eskimo Dog during his annual visit and his latest dental procedure. My pets have been patients at Lakeside for years, however the care received in the past several weeks has prompted this review. Since the end of October, Dr. Fustukjian has been treating my two "rescue" Bearded Dragons who had questionable husbandry prior to adoption. He has taken a considerable amount of time to answer my questions and show me how to properly administer treatment. After going to another vet and still being concerned about my dog who was very sick, I called Lakeside Animal Hospital. They were immediately concerned and without an appt told me to bring her in. Dr. Gonzalez said she needed iv fluids and oxygen and they immed. did a sonogram. They were very concerned with her status and very compassionate. Let me start by saying, BELIEVE the reviews for this place, I should have. I made an emergency appointment for my Cockatiel, they saw me same day, which is the only plus I have for this place. From the moment I walked in, the energy in the clinic was tense. The receptionist ignored me, while being in what sound like an 'argument' with someone in the back of the clinic and yelling at the girl to "mind your business, Mary". I'm writing this review after an upsetting experience today at Lakeside Animal Hospital. My sister-in-law brought my dog Macy in for pre-surgery bloodwork. We chose this location for the lab work because it was a more affordable option, as Macy's upcoming surgery is already a significant financial burden. My cat Sammy came home from Lakeside Animal Hospital after only two days when she would've needed at least 7 days for the full course of the antibiotic. They had a skirmish with her and had to move furniture to retrieve her. Guess what they said when they called to tell me she could come home after not even two days there? Communication is lacking. I have not received any call backs, but instead get partial email communication. I brought my dog in for mass removal, as this is expensive and took all I had to meet the original estimate, I stressed that all post op care needed to be included.
