Dr. Gonzalez is the worst veterinarian that I have ever been to. She saw my 15 year old dog for lameness. I was never called back with my lab results. I called her multiple times and it took her days to call me back. I have asked around since and everyone that I have spoken to with the exception of one person ( they went there once for just vaccines), has had only negative things to say about her and the way she practices medicine. Lakeside Animal Hospital preys on the fact that you want the very best for your animal and will ensure that you pay for services that are either not needed or, even worse, services that they do not have the actual expertise to use. Just left this place. I scheduled an appointment a week ago, took off work, packed up my dog and cat for our first trip to this vet office. When we arrived, they said they didn't have us marked down for an appointment. This is completely ridiculous because I spent 10 minutes on the phone with them giving my information. If they can't even schedule an appointment, what can that say about the rest of their business?
I used to go there to have my dog and 2 cats get their annual exams, shots, etc, however after multiple times waiting for my appointment for more than an hour (I always get the last appointment), I had enough and changed vets. However because of their operating hours Lakeside is my alternative to the VEC when my regular vet doesn't open until 9 am. One emergency I had was with my cat.
