The good: The staff has been very friendly and clearly competent. I'm surprised by other reviews that say the staff was rude. I've always been pleased with their friendliness and attention to detail. The vet noticed a dental problem that my previous two vets both missed. It seems clear to me that they are among the best in the business. The bad: Their prices are on the high side in my experience. Like other reviewers, I have had to wait for my appointment depending what else is going on that day.
It's a bit out of the way for where we live but the staff as well as the the cost are worth the drive Bailey is a very good sport about the exam Thank you!!!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent facility, terrific grooming service. Overall we have had a good experience and feel our dog is well cared for at the clinic.
I tried not to write this review, the first time we had a bad experience there I chalked it up to my sensitivity and being emotional about moving cross country. But now we have had another bad experience, and there needs to be at least one sane review about this place represented. We moved to Grand Rapids in early July and a friend had recommended that we try Eastown for our veterinary and grooming services. We have two cockapoos that need to be groomed every six weeks, and it's very convenient to our house. I made the appo... read more
This vets office is nice and helpful. They can usually get us in fairly quickly, and give helpful phone advice. They have taken good care of our dogs and cat.
I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new vet asap as my cat had an issue that needed to be looked at. My experience was just ok. I wasn't overly impressed but there was nothing really negative about it either. Prices seemed kind of high but I didn't know anyone to recommend someone different so I brought my dog in when she needed her exam and shots. The tech and the vet were both absolutely great with her. She has a lot of anxiety about going to the vet (as I'm sure most dogs do) but they made her so comfortable... read more
Don't do it! While the individual employees are nice people, they consistently seem overwhelmed. This is the second time of total chaos in my experience. Even though all of the exam rooms were empty no one would let my cat into one where it was quiet. The staff member ran in and out of the waiting area after I asked for an exam room, THREE times while saying she was working on it. I know the rooms were empty because they had been closed for a staff meeting until 2 and we had been waiting to get in. I finally had enough, a... read more
Very friendly staff! However , like most businesses, they do their best to convince you to pay for things that are not necessary. For one visit to have my cat examined and tested it was $300 and that was the final price after I took off some of what they advised me to get. After the visit I came to the realization that I didn't need to have half of the tests done that I paid for.
I have used Eastown vet for a few years. Though they are very kind and nice, they are overpriced and upsell everything. My dog needed her nails trimmed, quick and easy. Cost me $20. My dog hurt her back from jumping out of the truck, 300$ for anti inflammatory, blood work, and gabapentin pain meds. I have switched to another vet (southkent!) whose cost are SOO much more reasonable. Also, we had a few emergencies and needed to have my cat seen ASAP. They had no appts. Southkent got her right in. Again called back a week later... read more
