I have been taking my pet there for several years and have had good service and good interactions with Town and Country Animal Hospital. The only reason why I am not giving them 4 stars is the price. They seem overly pricey. I have been shocked when seeing the bill a couple of times, and of course usually after the fact. Then again I should have asked ahead of time. I just didn't think that a few blood tests would cost over $200. For this reason only, I will not be taking my cat there again.
Been taking my pets there for a year now, two dogs, one of those dogs quite frequently due to some health issues. Today was just absolutely ridiculous. Dog needed a different antibiotic than was originally prescribed but the new antibiotic was quite expensive. I'm very familiar with the few antibiotics we were discussing as options. I called back and decided to make the change and requested to have the prescription written out so I could fill at a different pharmacy. This is where they started putting up quite a fight. After what they did to my dog in February (see my previous posting below) ... I still get reminder emails from them. This place has the most unprofessional and incompetent staff. My posting in April, 2017 .... Feel free to check this place out if you want to experience first-hand the lack of respect and professionalism you will receive when you lose a loved one ..... Please allow me to share my recent horrific experience with Town & Country (T&C). On 2/2/2017, my beloved dog, of 13 years passed away. I brought her to ... read more
Pet lovers, take your pets elsewhere. Like ticks, they try to suck you dry for every penny for any reason. Front desk staff told me google my pets problem after spending hundreds of dollars for a diagnosis. I thought the poor service from my very first visit would get better overtime, but it never happened!! I highly recommend to take your pets elsewhere... you will leave wondering why you spent so much money for horrible service! I was truly disappointed in this place...
I have been with this vet for years, through ups and downs. When they operated on my dog's knee and the implant developed an infection, Dr. Hall did the right thing and stood by caring for my dog until her leg was healed. This past week we went in for a regular annual check up & shots, everything was normal except she tested positive for Lyme Disease- when I explained she does not spend time outside and has no symptoms & I wanted the test redone I was met with opposition. I brought the dog in for a second test, they did not... read more
After just getting off the phone with their receptionist "Tamia" or "Tania" I am truly just done with Town and Country vet as well as Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. This girl (and I say girl because she certainly was not an adult) was just extraordinarily unprofessional in the extreme. She should not be in a front desk position dealing with the public or with paying cliental. I have gone there for years with my pets, and for stability's sake, I endured a certain amount of continual dysfunction with some of their front de... read more
I have been going here for over a year and always experienced good veterinary service. When I asked my vet where I should go for grooming she recommended their in house service. I brought my beautiful long haired Australian Shepherd in to thin her coat for the hot weather. She came back scalped. I explicitly told them I did not want her shaved. Now my once beautiful long haired Aussie looks like a pit bull. I am worried I will have to keep her out of the sun so she does not get burned, that is how bare they left her skin. Ha... read more
I am writing because of a very bad experience at this facility on July 26. I had taken the appointment for our two dogs during the preceding week and after answering detailed questions about our dogs weight and breed and what services we wanted I was told that the prices were as follows: Dog 1 (Sahara): $ 75,-- Dog 2 (Diva): $ 135,-- The actual price for Sahara was $ 82,-- BUT for Diva it was $ 161.97!!!!! Also, we were told to bring the dogs in before 9 am on Tuesday morning. When we called the facility at 4 pm, they had... read more
If you like waiting an hour past your appointment time, then this is the spot for you. No one came out to address the length of time it took for us to get into our appointment. When we did get in, the doctor was very nice. We had just rescued our girl and he pinpointed how old she was and gave us suggestions on the different boosters we could get, without forcing it on us. Honestly, I'd have gone back if the wait time wasn't so friggin long.
