I wrote a long story and it got deleted but I feel like the drake center deserves a good review. Truly I do. My cat Madison is my child. I love her more than anything and was distraught when she was taken over by fleas and just did not seem healthy. My friend suggested taking her to the drake center so I did. They were able to get Madison in that day. They let me stay in there and explained the whole process to me and were very kind to me my mom and my cat. Everybody in the office was amazing. Prices were pricey but my cat i... read more

Great vets but can be a bit pricey

The vets and staff at Drake take really great care of my "constantly eating socks and toys" Bouvier! Dr. Shotwell is professional, keeps my boy relaxed, spends time with us and follows up with a phone call when needed. I moved to OC and still drive down for his appts. They need to remove the "yummy cookies" on the reception counter. Lucca keeps emptying the dish!

Left my cat there all day for over $1000 worth of X-rays and tests. When I called from work towards the end of day for news the Vet was positive all test were negative. Good news right? As I got to pick up my 2 yr old Layla who was on fluids all day. The vet tells me that she has not urinated all day and her bladder was not working. Layla NEVER CAME HOME. What were they doing??

I wouldn't think of taking my pets anywhere else. The Drake Center is by far the best veterinary practice around. I've been bringing my kitties there for many years now, and the staff is incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and customer service-oriented. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and follow up with phone calls after every visit. Other things I like about the practice are the clean and comfortable facilities and separate exam rooms designed especially for cats. Drake's very convenient office hours make it... read more

I have been bringing my dog to the Drake Center since he was a puppy. The staff is amazing, professional, authentic and caring. The medical care is unsurpassed. I love that I have to wait for Slate when I go to pick him up. It takes time for everyone to give him a hug on his way back up to the front desk! The doctors and staff have always gone out of their way to help and accommodate Slate and our family. They get that it is a package deal, kindness to the pet and the family who loves them : ) My dog is only 5 and had to ha... read more

Our dog received the Lepto vaccine in June 2011. He immediately went into anaphylactic shock and was completely paralyzed and immobile (see my previous post). I had to carry him back into the Drake Center. Eventually he made a partial recovery but was slower and he began knuckle dragging on his walks. Unknown to me at the time, but this is a tell tale sign of a neurological issue. His condition gradually deteriorated over the next 18 months, until he could barely walk again. We took him to a specialist and got an MRI and he ... read more
