I have been a client here for 14 years. Obviously I'm very happy with the care my beloved dogs receive. Everyone here is a pleasure to interact with; from the front desk to all of the vets. Two of the saddest events of my life took place here, losing beloved dogs, & on both occasions Dr Hamlet had the misfortune of being the vet to end my dog's suffering. Never coming back. While the vet I saw was very nice, the vet tech and receptionists were very snippy and condescending. One questioned the breeding of my dog (I didn't get him from a box of puppies at Walmart!), another had rude remarks about the organization I'm volunteering with. Then when I inquired about a discount I heard they might offer, the vet tech started talking very slowly to me, went over the entire bill to be sure I could afford it before service would be provided and then asked whether I needed pet insurance ... read more
We just moved to the area and was recommended this vet by a new neighbor (that is a ER vet). Made an appointment and was seen straight away. They helped my little friend with his discomfort and was making sure that he was doing well with a follow up call a few days later. The staff was very professional and friendly from the moment they picked up the phone.
Really great experience. Got there and they took us and our cat straight to an exam room which doubles up as your waiting room. It was cat only and they had feliway wall plugs so our cat stayed calm. Doctor was very thorough in her explanations and works to keep expenses to a minimum. She self described herself as a minimalist, avoiding unnecessary testing. I know Leon might not show his appreciation! But I want to let the drake center know how appreciative I am that they take the time to make my kitty feel comfortable in a veterinarian setting. His high anxiety and high stress makes it hard to bring him anywhere else. But the drake center was willing to take the time to work with him!
We are traveling and needed a Vet for our dog who was having an allergic reaction to something unknown. The Drake was able to get him in same day and on a Sunday. The receptionists were wonderful, veterinary nurses and doctors were attentive and so sensitive to our dogs needs. We really appreciate having such wonderful place to come to.
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Where did the old Drake Center go? I used to love this place. Now, I am never going back. I never complain because I understand that sometimes people have bad days and I used to be in the restaurant industry as a Manager and understand the importance of customer service. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kaela Shotwell and the staff members at Drake Center. Dr. Shotwell is so sweet, caring, humble, a great listener and responsive, as well as knowledgable. She is open to my ideas and to trying different approaches. She treats all 3 of our pets with great kindness and they respond very well to her. The Drake Center has been fantastic; great follow up and a very caring environment for you and your pets. My daughter took her cat to Drake during Mitten's final illness and they were wonderful. My dog Zuri has learned to be much calmer with staff and Drake then other vet offices. My top rec's for Drake Center
