Great clinic. They have done more for our cat, with more compassion and care then all of the other vets we have used. Their pricing is better and they only do what is necessary and best for our pet. They also make house calls and they are open on Sunday. Great staff, doctors, and worth the drive.

I have been taking my 2 dogs Sierra and Django here since we got them as 9 week ld pups. They are Catahoulas and not a lot of people know what they re but the staff here did. They have always take the best care of them and we always get top notch service. I even bring my cats here! Huey had extensive dental surgery without any issues and Nemo who had IBD and unfortunately has passed, which Drake helped him make his transition over the rainbow bridge. The staff are the best! Top notch vet.

Avoid. I am a responsible pet owner with pet insurance. I brought my dog in and the diagnosis was off but it resulted in over 5000 dollars in surgical charges. My insurance company will not cover costs. I told the vet the dog had eaten another dog's diarrhea and that I had give my dog imodium. The vet said if dog did not have GI surgery she would likely die. Insurance denied claim because after opening up dog nothing was found. Just gas. Very expensive and not very effective canine internists. Though some folks think they r... read more

For the last year or so I've been disappointed with the upselling and this week was the last straw. I brought our dog in for a shot, a nail clip and to have the vet look at a swollen toe. We agreed to have the toe x-rayed. When tech came back with an estimate there was a bi-annual exam fee, a prescription for Sentinel and two x-ray fees (one more than the next). All in - $362. Come on! It's less than that for me to see my doctor and have some x-rays - without insurance! My wife and I have been clients for years and this type... read more

Beware of this vet. They are persistent at adding charges. They always up-sell you for every visit.

If you want the best, then Drake is the BEST! After a 2 year struggle with allergies for my cat, countless visits to another vet, I feel that that after 1 visit, his allergies will be under control. I could feel that my cat felt comfortable there. I also liked that the doctor called to following day to see how he was doing. And a BIG shout out to the Front office- So kind - A NEW CLIENT TO DRAKE

In my opinion, Drake Center has the best Veterinarians in North County. My family has owned several dogs and a few cats over the past 30+ years, so my opinion is based solely on personal experiences with other Veterinary offices in San Diego, My wife's cat (Oscar), whom she owned for 12+ years, had to be put to sleep due to cancer in 2010. The whole situation was rough, but everyone at Drake showed they cared during the entire process and sent a very thoughtful sympathy card to my wife afterwards. A few years have gone by an... read more

Just left my 13 year old diabetic kitty for boarding with Drake while I had surgery. They texted pictures and gave us updates throughout her stay. They were also flexible when I had to stay in hospital longer than planned. My kitty came home much calmer than she ever has boarding elsewhere. Usually it takes a week or more for her to readjust. This time only a day. I am so relieved to have found a place that takes such good care of her. And they are closer to my home than her previous location for boarding. Great job Drake t... read more
