This is the best clinic I've been to! They are always incredibly kind and attentive. I have two 2-yr old female pit bulls that I take here for all their needs. The technician team is polite and have always handled my dogs with care. The vets are also amazing. They aren't condescending or rude when they give you their diagnosis and are incredibly understanding when it comes to what you can and cannot afford. Their main concern is your pet! I would definitely recommend this place for any dog owner

Business response:

Thank you so much for your positive feedback Briana! We appreciate your recommendation and loving taking care of both your girls!

Similar to other pet owners, e.g., 4/17 review below, I had quite a few negative experiences here, put up with quite a lot for some years. I would not recommend that people bring a beloved pet here. Examples include: vet who continually pushed for my dog to have bladder surgery for stones without allowing adequate time for medical therapy, I actually felt very uneasy about it and family and friends warned me that some vets are very pushy about not-needed interventions; once I made the decision to not proceed with the surger... read more

Business response:

Hi Mel, As we recently spoke with you and stated that it would be in the best interest that you take your pet to another veterinarian for care, we are still available to talk through your situation more if you would like. Please feel free to reach out during our normal office hours. We wish you and your pet the best in her future care.

I hate writing negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience yesterday left me with a bad taste in my mouth and looking for a new vet. A week after I moved to the city (a year and a half ago) I unfortunately had to take my dog to the vet because he ingested something he shouldn't have. I found this vet on yelp and as it had great reviews and was conveniently located near my apartment, I brought him in as a walk-in. When I brought him in I explained to the vet that we were new to the city, but were atleast fortunate to ha... read more

Business response:

Hi Karissa, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we would like to talk through this more one on one with you. Our office is aware of the ESA requirements and the doctor on staff did not feel comfortable signing a form that states that she had examined your pet and determined him healthy for travel. We are happy to sign these forms without being the veterinarian that administered the vaccines, so long as we have vaccine records on file, which we do, and a recent healthy exam, which unfortunately we did not. I... read more

Things have changed here & not for the best! Sad it used to be great! Be careful as you could end paying a lot of money with no solutions !! If you have a senior animal it appears you can't get a solution or plan for end of life care!! The reason people go to a vet is to get that .. With the changes there I regret my vet leaving.. yet feel unheard & my dog got sicker.. grateful I found another vet & a partner for my furry baby..so he can receive the care he deserves!! Never again would I trust this place.. so disappointed!!

We have a 10-week old goldendoodle puppy that we love with all our hearts. A few days ago, he vomited up both his breakfast and dinner. We called to ask what we should do, and they recommended that we bring him in immediately. When I arrived, an unsmiling nurse immediately handed me a proposed bill of costs amounting to $375. Line items included x-rays, anti-nausea medication, hydration shots... I was shocked and terrified. Fortunately, the receptionist that day was super understanding. After that nurse left, she reassured m... read more

Our dog's specialist was mortified by their radiography. They completely missed that our dog had cancer. Go elsewhere.

My wife and I have 2 dogs, an 85lb chocolate lab mix and our recent adoption of a 20lb min pin mix. I hit the last straw with my previous vet trying to shake me down and promptly started searching. I can say that finding a vet in Chicago is far more stressful than it needs to be. I read countless reviews across all the vets within reasonable distance from my home. Most of the low reviews across any vet seem to be cat related. I called Metro vet the same night I left my previous vet and had an appointment scheduled for the ne... read more

I love this vet! I started going here earlier this year for my dog, Dorothy. The entire staff/vets are all so professional, kind, and really know their stuff. I initially took Dorothy hair to get her nails trims and they were so professional that I decided to book her vaccinations here. The vet that I met with was so great with Dorothy and knowledgeable about what vaccinations are necessary for city dogs. On top of that, I am a total hypochondriac for my dog - I brought her in recently because she was (what I later learned t... read more

This review is for Dr. Veronica specifically. I have 3 cats, 2 Little's and one old guy. I took Blackie in for his yearly checkup (I love they have late hours) - Dr. Balser is super nice and friendly but also inquisitive. She suggested a more natural supplement for his liver health and I appreciated that. They also found one of his nails had grown into his foot pad (bad mom here) and after cutting it didn't make me feel bad about missing it. I like all their free promo stuff they give away also. Plus it's clean and doesn't s... read more
