Metropolitan Veterinary Center was established in 2012 by Dr. Kjerstin Jacobs. She founded the practice based on her observation that there was an unmet need for high-quality, reasonably priced medical and surgical care for Chicago’s beloved pets, not only on weekdays but on weekends and late evenings as well.

Metropolitan Veterinary Center is a wonderful practice. They have taken care of all of my cats over the years and even some visiting cats and dogs. The are very professional and thorough with their examinations. Additionally, they are there when you need them in emergencies! They are excellent!

We just moved to the area and brought Luna here. She was just finishing up her heartworm treatment and they did a great job of collecting all the appropriate information. Great experience and was still a smooth visit due to COVID protocols.

Wonderful clinic. Dr. Kjerstin Jacobs is fantastic...she listens, is thorough and very thoughtful. She has been my dog’s doctor for 10 years! The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful.

bought our pitbull 4 an emergency had a feep laceration on her right foot, so happy they took her in right away, thank 2 the vet and staff ❤ me n LOLA a 4ever greatful for your services

Best clinic I have ever taken my pets to in over 40 years. Friendly staff, always helpful and easy to work with. They treat Max as if he was their pet which gives me peace of mind.
