Columbia Pike Animal Hospital saved my baby's life. We had never been here before, and we rushed our 2 year old Maine Coon, Pancake, here on Thursday morning after he stopped eating and was completely not himself. They took him back within minutes, did X-rays, and found something blocking his stomach. Within an hour, they were prepping him for surgery. I was absolutely devastated. The vet who did his surgery, Dr. Moneyhun, called me after and carefully explained every detail of the surgery and next steps. I cried on the phon... read more

Two visits under very stressful circumstances. Well staffed. Vet techs were compassionate and knowledgeable. Prices are far more reasonable than other emergency clinics in DMV. Vets were great as well and I wish this clinic was more accessible to where I live. Only suggestion would be to provide a better registration area and system.

This review is specifically for Dr. Rebecca Reusch! Nobody enjoys seeing their pet in pain. A couple of weeks ago, my 2-year old male cat was meowing in absolute pain and wouldn't let me even touch him - a far cry from his normal self. Anytime he would urinate it would only be a few bloody drops outside of the litter box. I took him to Columbia Pike after researching a handful of other hospitals close to me in the D.C. area. Dr. Reusch performed a physical exam on my cat and gave a diagnosis within 15 minutes of my arriva... read more

This review is specifically for Dr. Reusch, who is absolutely phenomenal! Upon bringing our pet in for a midnight emergency, we were uncertain what to expect -- other than a gut-wrenching bill to save our four-legged friend. Fortunately Dr. Reusch quickly put us at ease with her tremendous expertise, diagnosis of the issues at hand, and subsequent provision of multiple recommended paths to resolution. In doing so she was particularly conscious of our financial constraints and very professionally balanced that consideration w... read more

Great and very professional, we had to go there due to an emergency situation with our Pom which is 7 months old. Doc Sbeckford@columbiapikeanimalh.com, was very informative and took her time with us. Job well done.

We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our senior dog diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma to sleep last weekend after he started to decline. We didn't want him to get worse and we were able to get a same day appointment on a Sunday and allow two of us in the room with our dog, whereas due to covid restrictions our primary vet was only allowing one person in the room with him which was not an option for our family. I am leaving this review because of our experience with our vet, Dr. Rush, who made our experience... read more

I brought my young cat in after a bite wound from a neighbor's cat became infected. After having the wound drained and cleaned and antibiotics administered, the wound refused to heal, and over many weeks and multiple visits, the amazing vets at Columbia Pike worked tirelessly to find and solve the root issue, communicating all treatment options, costs, and home care. I even took my cat to my hometown vet for a second opinion, and they confirmed that everything the columbia pike vets reccommended/attempted was best practice a... read more

I called ahead to get a time and payment estimate as most emergency vets in DC charge heavily just to cross the threshold. They let me know the wait time and their method of triage for emergencies and the intake cost was reasonable. My dog ended up being diagnosed with kennel cough that turned into pneumonia overnight and they were able to take her back right away since she was having trouble breathing. The doctor was very thorough with explaining her diagnoses and they were clear about paying the low end but acknowledging i... read more

We moved to Annandale and got a new pet. A Silky Terrier that we have taken to Columbia Pike since we got him. They are always very professional and caring. It's a wonderful place to take your pets for care.
