The FDA issued a warning to veterinary physicians about serious side effects for the drug Librela on December 16. On December 28 I brought my beloved dog, Finn, in for his 4th Librela shot. No mention was made to me about the FDA warning. I would not have gotten the shot for Finn if I had known since the shots did not seem to be helping him anyway. Finn collapsed on January 3 and had to be euthanized. A very young vet said he had a pericardial effusion and a heart mass. She was 100% sure. Two days prior a more senior vet had... read more

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Large-Hart saved the life of one of our cats, Ollie. She and the staff acted fast to help him. He was struggling to breathe, and we saw him quickly going downhill. I called Town and Country, and they told us to go right away, and they'd call ahead for us. I got there in 20 mins, and was worried Ollie would not make it. Excellent Doctors and team. Quick check in and check out process and each Doctor I have worked with so far seems to actually care about my dogs - they provide me with great information and don’t mind explaining anything I have questions with. I actually changed vets after an “emergency visit” because of the great way my dogs were treated. I highly recommend. Bonus: they just remodeled and it looks great.

They monitored him overnight and told us the next day that he probably was not going to get better — we paid a lot to screen for the obvious problems, but we knew what we’d probably have to do. Dr. Khomutets very patiently explained our options when we came back to visit him in person. While sobbing, I told him it felt like we were “killing” him, and he was swift to tell me that we as humans never... read more

Living in the Herndon area, I struggled to find emergency vets nearby as they were all busy. We were redirected to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, which was a 40 minute drive. But the drive was worth it because when we walked in with our 15 year-old beagle in our arms- they immediately rushed to get him the care he needed. After doing blood work on him, we were told he may have kidney and liver disease. We were given the option to put him to sleep peacefully or keep doing additional tests and keep him hospitalized. My family... read more
