After a year or so of health issues, we rushed our 15-year-old cocker spaniel, Levi, to Columbia Pike after he collapsed at home. They monitored him overnight and told us the next day that he probably was not going to get better — we paid a lot to screen for the obvious problems, but we knew what we’d probably have to do. Dr. Khomutets very patiently explained our options when we came back to visit him in person. While sobbing, I told him it felt like we were “killing” him, and he was swift to tell me that we as humans never... read more

Living in the Herndon area, I struggled to find emergency vets nearby as they were all busy. We were redirected to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, which was a 40 minute drive. But the drive was worth it because when we walked in with our 15 year-old beagle in our arms- they immediately rushed to get him the care he needed. If I could give zero stars I would. I had to get my puppy spayed and ended up choosing this place, wish I could change that now. Firstly, I will say it seems as though the surgery went well, but we shall see (the surgery was yesterday). My pup has separation anxiety and I dropped her off around 7am. The appointment was under my boyfriends name and he was unavailable that day so I was "in charge" and needed to handle everything. I gave them my cell and explained that my bf was busy so they need to call me. Around 11am they... read more

brought my dog to the clinic for treatment of an ear hematoma. I paid for the service in full and was informed by the clinic staff to return in two weeks for a follow-up check-up. However, upon returning home, I noticed that my dog's ear appeared exactly as it had before the treatment. Concerned about the lack of improvement, I contacted the clinic the next morning to discuss my concerns. Rather than addressing the issue, the clinic attempted to charge me additional fees for further treatment. “1100 dollars” total with what... read more

The Columbia Pike Animal Hospital is a facility I would highly recommend in case of an emergency or on a regular basis. Not only was it extremely sanitary but the employees were overly helpful and immensely sincere to my situation. My cat had to undergo immediate surgery and the Veterinarian, Melissa Adams was very compassionate and explained throughly the process and risk of the surgery also answered all my concerns about my cat, as this was his first surgery. I picked my cat up within 3.5-4 hours. He is relaxed, he’s eatin... read more
