Although taking your pet to the animal hospital is never an ideal experience. I appreciated all the advice given by the front desk staff as well as the techs. They were very helpful. Once we arrived the wait was not long and Dr. Fox has very good bedside manner lol. Their prices are fair but treating your dog is always expensive!
First off, I want to note that a 24 hour animal hospital is not a cheap place to run. You need to have people who can perform emergency treatment and surgeries, and who will work through the night to watch sick pets. So yes it's going to cost more for treatment than your friendly neighborhood veterinarian. It's not like they aren't very upfront about what the costs will be after they see the animal. Also, having been through the "red flag" treatment that requires a deposit, yes they can identify when a pet is in need of ur... read more
March 2017 UPDATE: We brought in another of our dogs with a limp, the diagnosis was bone cancer, approximately 3 months to live. We were told we would be given 'maintenance' (for pain) medication for 3 months. There was some mix up and the whole 3 months wasn't what we got. When I called, multiple times, to try to get the remainder before my dog RAN OUT OF HIS PAIN MEDS WHILE HE WAS DYING, I was told very matter of factly that I should go see my regular vet. The explanation of how difficult it would be to physically put a 10... read more
My feral cat Pumpkin stayed in the same spot for 2 days. I decided to take her here. The front desk tech was warm and welcoming. The male tech who help service me and my Pumpkin was great. I thought the cost of her care was expensive -$1600 for a hospital stay for a week to find out what is wrong with her. With a "maybe" diagnosis of lymphoma, I decided to put her down. Dr. Andrew Walther was very professional and very knowledgeable. He had a very nice calm tone which put me at ease about my decision. I even received a... read more
My experience with WeCare was absolutely horrible. My beloved dog was attacked by a pitbull . On the recommendation of my veterinarian I took him over to WeCare, to ensure the neck laceration he received from the pit attack did not damage his major artery in his neck. These people show me how much they don't care. They often talk about cost and I got the impression that money was the only goal. They really didn't care if my beloved dog would survive his injury. They quoted me a price which I had no problem paying, however it... read more

Our goal is to provide excellent quality Veterinary care. This does come with a cost and it is part of our Veterinary technicians jobs to give you an estimate of what those costs will be. It isn't because we only think of money, it's because we want our patients owner's to understand what the treatment recommendations are and how much they cost. So that they/you can make decisions about treatment and our recommendations. We gave you an estimate based on a quick look at your pet and the injury he received. You explained ... read more
I came here on the recommendation of my primary vet office. I had an emergency and my dog was throwing up blood. After two hours and 465$, they could tell me NOTHING that was wrong with my pet, but they did offer to do more blood work and keep him overnight and give him more meds (he had this same episode a month ago and I did the same thing at with his vet). I am sorely disappointed in their services and it will be very difficult for me to bring my pet here again.

Unfortunately, preliminary diagnostics (emergency examination, blood work and an abdominal ultrasound) do not always reveal a definitive diagnosis. Dr. McGuire, is a highly regarded Internal Medicine specialist. She recommended hospitalization, IV fluids and injectable anti-vomiting medications because she thought that would be the best course of treatment for your pet. As you described, your pet had a similar bout of vomiting a month ago. When you declined this, she additionally offered at the minimum treatment of SQ fl... read more
The staff here was fantastic, and I wish I could write a great review just for them. However, our experience with Dr. Andrew Walther was absolutely terrible. We brought our border collie in with a snakebite, and Dr. Walther took advantage of our concern for attempted profit. He examined our dog separately from us, then told us she needed a $1500 course of treatment. When we balked at the price and started asking for details about the treatment, he acted indignant and started pressuring us and questioning our love for our dog... read more

I am very sorry you had a bad experience with Dr. Walther. We have many other Veterinarians who work at WECARE and I would encourage you (if the need ever arises again) to give us another chance to provide your pets with good quality veterinary care. I will definitely speak with Dr. Walther to assure that this does not happen in the future. I am glad to hear that your pet is doing well. Thank you for your feedback.
if I could give them a half of a star I would....last year.sept.2016.i took my dog there because he was yelping in pain..upon my arrival they took the dog did xrays and told me the dog had a bladder infection..i should keep him on a bland diet and give the medication they had issued..they told me I qualified for the credit card and could pay later..now mind you the expense was of no concern of mine .. I just wanted my dog well.. I was leaving for vacation in a week and didn't want to leave my dog home sick..long story short ... read more
This Emergency Vet location is horrible. We took our puppy in needing stitches. They want to do x-rays to see if he swallowed something. The reason we brought our puppy in was for stitches. No x-rays! He did not swallow anything. After our puppy was admitted, they say that before they do any surgery that they would call and let us know, if there were any changes to our bill, they would call and let us know. They gave us an estimated quote of how much our bill would be $800 is the lowest and $1,000 was the max and if they ... read more

Mr. R Your puppy presented to the Emergency hospital for profuse bleeding from the tongue. His tongue was severely lacerated and needed surgical correction to aid in healing and to stop the bleeding. It was our understanding, per your description of the events, that your dog was chewing on something that caused the laceration. For that reason, we recommended abdominal radiographs. Our thinking was that if the item he was chewing on was sharp enough to cause the laceration and amount of blood, we better make sure he didn... read more
