Why is there not a no stars option? One is too many. Just took my dog for allergy issues and the vet did not have the allergy medicine that would help fix the underlying cause of the problem. Instead of prescribing the correct medication the vet decided to prescribe medicine that would give a temporary solution to the current symptoms, which is fine for now, but I need the long term fix as well. They should see your pet yearly, give your pet a complete examination, keep your pet vaccinated, free from fleas and ticks, provide heart worm prevention and offer resolutions to your pets day to day problems. This place is a straight up waste of time. We took our dog here for emergency services as she has a sudden onset of hearing loss due to a prescribed antibiotic. Our vet suggested we take her to an emergency care facility in hopes that her ears could be flushed. We called and explained the issue to the young lady who answered the phone. We asked if they would be able to flush her ears and also examine her ear drum. She said yes that is something we could do. Mia, I am sorry that your experience here was not to your expectations. I agree that the Veterinarian should have come in to see you and your dog. Unfortunately, as an emergency hospital "Emergencies" come first. Our staff was busy trying to save a pets life. The Veterinarian sent a technician in to ask questions because he couldn't break away. I can only speak of the after-hours emergency service. If you bring your pet here during the daytime it might be a different story but for an emergency out of normal business hours, look elsewhere. My pet developed diarrhea over the weekend so I brought him here. The receptionist was friendly and she informed us that the consultation fee after hours was $100. That seemed fair, and we agreed. Just got back from having to get our dog euthanized after a long fight with several health issues. I called Waldorf Emergency Care at 3am and was greeted by a very helpful woman on the phone. They took us right away and were extremely understanding of the situation. Would recommend them in a second. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars was for the price but if you are going to bring your pet short notice in the middle of the night you have to expect it.
