Something was wrong with our 3 yo cat. We didn't know what, went to our regular vet who took X-rays, said Finn had some kind of intestinal obstruction and recommended we take him to Truvet. We had him there by 11:00. They called in a surgeon who couldn't be there until 4:00. By then Finn had gone into a steep decline and wasn't stable enough for surgery. We lost our beloved cat because of a delay in addressing his needs. And it still cost us $2700. An emergency vet should be able to address emergencies and they couldn't. I w... read more
If I could give 0 I would. They told me incorrectly, my dog had pancreatitis and he needed to stay overnight. Turns out he didn't and they never bothered to tell me the test results. Had to find out from his regular vet. They took hours after admission to give him an IV. They are a money racket, nothing more.
It's been 24 hours after our ineffective visit to TruVet and both my dog and I are traumatized. My dog had been having issues with his eyes. They hurt him, he kept pawing at them, and when he could get them open they are red swollen, and weepy with a greenish fluid. So a vet recommended going to TruVet. I called and they said usually can see you in about an hour. I got there yesterday at 7:15. I was checked in at 8:00 am, then told to wait in my car with my dog. At 9:30, I went in and asked for an ETA and they said 2 hours ... read more
Showing more compassion, better communication, and following up on patients would make this place a lot better. Unfortunately they don't do any of those things. Made our experience with them very painful and I still feel a lot of animosity.
I've tried Truvet twice, and both times have been disappointing. In both cases, I felt a complete lack of sympathy for my situation. For example, I was just informed that there's an 8 hour waitlist and that I have to physically be there in order to be added to it. I guess that works for people who have absolutely no obligations. I have two small kids without a second parent at home. The woman I spoke to was completely unsympathetic, then put me on hold. I guess my bleeding dog is out of luck. I get that there's a shortage of... read more

Dear Rocky, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that our service did not meet your expectations. Our number one priority is always the well-being of the pet. We aim to have your pet assessed when it arrives at the hospital to determine whether medical care needs to be provided immediately or if your pet is stable. Pet emergency services function similar to that of a human ER, where life threatening emergencies are seen first and stable pets are seen in the order in which they arrive. We understand that having a sick or i... read more
Waited in parking lot for 10 hours before they seen my pet , kept telling me it won't be long. Had me give him mends to knocked him out they wore off they had me do it again and still didn't see him until they wore off. Not a good place to take a pet!!!!

Hi Talushia- Thank you for your review. We are sorry that our service did not meet your expectations. Our number one priority is always the well-being of the pet. Pet emergency services function similar to that of a human ER, where life threatening emergencies are seen first and stable pets are seen in the order in which they arrive. Unfortunately, this can cause wait times to fluctuate. We understand that having a sick or injured pet can be emotional and our staff works very hard to provide the best possible care. FACTS: your system is broken. If you can't see clients. Close your ER. Be honest. Don't leave injured and sick animals in your parking lot waiting for services that are never going to happen. If you must, then properly Triage. Looking through a closed window of a car is not a triage. (that's also a fact). Perhaps your receptionist can get off her phone long enough to actually know what is going on "in the back" and then give out honest wait times.
Business response:
Hi Chris- I looked into your situation. We have digital records which are time stamped. Your pet was checked in at 10:16 am. I spoke with the Technician who triaged your pet. She asked you about what was going on with your pet and also spoke to you about the lengthy wait at that time, approximately 10 hours, advising that Pet Emergency and Specialty had a much shorter wait, approximately 3-4 hours, but you wanted to be seen by us. While she did not get complete vitals, she saw your pet at the window, bright, alert, and happy... read more
WORST Experience ever! My dog has a bump on his leg that opened up and was bleeding. Front desk didn't care, wanted the paperwork filled out and sent me out to wait in my car with his leg bleeding. I asked if they could give me something to stop the bleeding why I waited and they wouldn't. I waited 1/2 before I left. Yes there were a few people in front of me, understood, but nobody seem to care.
Business response:
Hi Michele- I am sorry to hear this happened. This is not the experience we want anyone to have at our hospital. The veterinary community as a whole is struggling with increased case loads and decreased staffing. This is in no way an excuse for the service that you received. Pets absolutely have priority over paperwork, however we do need this information to create a medical record for your pet. Unfortunately in this situation, I sincerely believe it was a miscommunication that we did not provide the materials to help stop ... read more
Long wait times on serious emergencys. Staff not professional. Do not reccomend if your pet is having a serious emergency. Spent over 5 hours waiting for him to even get seen .
Business response:
Hi Bob- I am sorry that you had a poor experience. We triage and assess every patient to determine the severity of the pet’s condition. If your pet was assessed and deemed stable, then they will be seen in the order that they arrived. If the pet is deemed unstable or critical it would be brought into the hospital immediately. As far as the wait time is concerned, I understand that this may seem like a long time. Please understand that all Veterinary Facilities in our area are inundated with pets and emergencies and wait tim... read more
