Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the staff here. I was nervous as my 14yr old kitty had a bloody nose with lots of bleeding. My animals (14yrs old & 16 yrs old) are indoor only and fortunately, they've never had any health issues. So thanks to others reviews here, I took a chance with this one, and believe me, we were nervous parents. They were wonderful and super nice to my nervous kitty. But Tigger liked them and they had him purring in no time. They even taught me how to give him his meds, which has also gon... read more
We had to take our wonderful cat "Cougar" in to be put down as he was quite old and not doing so well. I have never been treated so well and the staff was very compassionate. Receiving "Cougars" inked paw prints on a card was so touching. We had them framed. Thank you for all of your kindness and compassion. Cindy in West Seattle
We took our beloved cat here for the past few years until he recently took a turn for the worse. Putting him to sleep was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, and our vet at the Pet Care Center was the most empathetic doctor I've ever encountered. He helped us navigate our options right up until the end. The cost of care was unbelievably reasonable as well. Thank you for giving our sweet old boy the respectful ending he deserved.
We recenlty moved to Washington, and, stopped by the Pet Care Center to ask if they treat exotics. While they could not treat ours, they were very helpful and talked to me about where I could go. The girl helping me really seemed to care that I found a place that was good. A couple of weeks later, our cat of 17 years became ill. We had no idea what to do, or how to handle it, but, we had a good idea where we should take him. It turns out, his time had come, and he needed to be put to rest. The tech's and doctor were delica... read more
I have a CRF cat (15 yrs old). I had been going to a VCA pet clinic that wasn't very close in distance, so I thought I would try a clinic closer. I decided to try out Pet Care Center (drop-in only - no appointments). They are under new owners. I am SO impressed with the service I received! They are very personable & friendly. They set me up w/ Sub-Q fluids to administer at home, and with other meds to help my cat with her disease (the other clinic never even spoke of these treatments). They also told me that if I couldn't ad... read more
Dr. Pamparo and his staff have taken care of our dogs for years and their love of animal make this a five star experience . They were amazing when it came time put Baxter to sleep, giving us extra time with him in the exam room and time to grieve after. The care they show their patients and the people that bring them in makes it feel like family. Like Alyson L. we were touched by the handwritten note. Easy to get to and definitely worth the drive from Ballard
Dr. Pamparo and staff have been my pets' vet for 16 years! I no longer live in West Seattle, and don't mind the trip because I trust this vet and staff to be honest, reasonably priced and helpful.
We moved away from West Seattle 18 years ago, but we still go to Pet Care Center for all our vet needs. Dr. Chris Pamparo and his crew are wonderful with all of our pets. Prices have always been reasonable. And most impressive to me - if I ask for something I don't need (like more expensive testing, he tells me. So, I know when he says I do need something that I do. I know that I can trust what he tells me, unlike some other vets I have tried. I highly recommend Pet Care Center. It is definitely worth the drive.
We actually found this place due to a rather unfortunate circumstance, our 11 year old cat Bubba became quite ill (in a matter of hours) and we ended up having to have him put to sleep. I had a horrifying experience with an emergency clinic in North Seattle that left me with a sour taste in my mouth for vets (my cats are all vaccinated and indoor only, so they don't need much care), but the Pet Care Center has completely redeemed the whole industry in my opinion. They were incredibly thoughtful and empathic and gentle whe... read more
