We love, love Dr. Welfare and his staff. I have a an almost 18 year old dog and they always make time for him when he is not feeling well, and never make me feel bad for bringing him in for something minor. I have never had a vet that cared for my dogs as much as Dr. Welfare. He takes time to explain things without talking down to you or using too many big, medical words. We'll miss the whole staff when we move.
Our neighborhood pet owners could not be more pleased to have had such a fantastic veterinarian and staff open up in the center plaza. Patricia the receptionist is a curtious efficient professional, pet and public friendly who acknowledges every pet owner who walks in. I have sat in the waiting area on different days at different times and have always witnessed her display nothing but the BEST public relations. This is a great place. We have been working with them since they opened and take both of our dogs, the cat and my daughter's Chinese Dwarf Hamster. The Vet is great, Dr. Welfare is very personable and leaves you feeling like he'd rather talk with you and play with your pet all day then do anything else. They offer a variety of intense diagnostic services and tests to check-up on the long term health of your pet. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and great with our animals. The facility is spacious and very clean.
The care and treatment at this veterinary hospital is wonderful. Dr. Welfare really takes the time to explain your pets condition and the options you have for treatment. He really cares about your pet. When my St Bernard injured her leg he had me bring her in right away we didn't have to wait. When my golden retriever was at the end of his life with a severe heart condition he gave me his back number so I could call him in a emergency even after hours. Could it have been any worse.. Took our Chinchilla in because he was having issues with his mouth and not eating. Doctor said it was a genetic tooth issue and they were overgrown and hurting him to the point he couldnt eat. Hes a 99 dollar animal so I called the wife and let her know. She said its best if we put him down and not risk a surgery not working. when the doctor came out i ask the proa and cons of doing the surgery. Carlson and Markel are very compassionate, however they are very good at collecting payment from you for visits you have already paid for. When I paid my bill this morning I was told I had another balance due. Then when I called back later I was told I still owed for this morning and another outstanding bill. I explained I paid this morning and she said oh it just wasn't updated in the computer. Paid the prescription bill that was "owed" ($89 that I now will be getting monthly from chewy for $38.80). If it could be a zero it would be, North Powers pet maintenance plan is a scam, dog after several months is bleeding from her mouth severely, was told I need to pay a deposit and refused to provide records on our dog without full payment outside of maintenance plan, after they took a sample off our fur baby is getting worse and they told us to apply a paper towel to her and set an appointment 5 days away, we asked to cancel plan and they refused and when we told them we were disputing charges they hung up on us, we are also ... read more
Awful experience. Rude front office team, called and spoke to a receptionist about my pet and how to go about a "wellness exam" and the attitude i was given was mind blowing. I didn't think asking questions would make my experience miserable, but here we are. ended up taking my pet to east springs hospital. much better,
PRICE GOUGING at its finest. Maybe they are going out of business? That's the only reason I could understand why they've changed their policies *so* drastically over the last few years.
