Awesome vet services provided by North Powers Animal Hospital. All tests, procedures, and pricing fully explained. They have NEVER gouged us with unnecessary tests, medications, or procedures. Other commenters giving negative reviews obviously did not listen to the doctors or did not understand when things were explained. The entire staff is extremely compassionate and, when we had to put our dog to sleep, Dr. Carlson was absolutely wonderful in her kindness shown to our Tango. Wow, where has Dr welfare been my whole pets life. I just moved to the area and he is AHmazing! I highly recommend. He is thorough and really all about the pets needs which is the way it should be. In addition, vet friendly staff, clean office.
I've been going to Dr Welfare since he opened. He and his staff have cared for all our dogs with 3 knee surgeries, allergies, hornet bites, gastritis, toe nail repairs, the list goes on and sadly euthanasia. He and his staff are caring compassionate professionals. Dr Welfare sits diwn with each and every pet parent to thoroughly explain his findings and all the options that are available regardless of ability to pay. As an owner of 3 American Pit Bulls, and new to the area, I was not looking forward to navigating the stereotypes placed on me or my dogs as I set out to find a veterinarian. Dr Welfare is an amazing veterinarian. He has treated my dogs since 2009, and the care he provides is excellent. We have dealt with surgeries, infections, broken bones, and dental problems, and he has addressed them all thoughtfully, thoroughly, and compassionately. He guided my kids and I through the end of life process for one of my dogs, and my kids and I were cared for by Dr Welfare and his staff during that process as much as my dog was. We just moved to the area and I utilized yelp reviews and proximity to decide on a vet. We went in today to see Dr. Byrd for a wellness and to update shots, get registered etc. The staff was very knowledgeable and the wait wasn't long. I was pleased with the staff, the cleanliness and prices. We will be using them as our primary vet. If anything changes I will come back here and update my post.
I have a hedgehog who did just great with him. Wish I had taken other pets to him!!
When we got our Golden Retriever puppy two years ago, we selected Dr. Welfare based on reviews we had read. It was the best decision we could have made for our dog! He treats our dog like his own - getting down on her level and loves on her while doing the exam.
