Dr. Welfare is the kindest and most caring veterinarian I have ever found. Since the first visit 3 years ago, every time I come in he has shown care for me and my cats on a level I didn't expected. Whether visiting for our annual checkups, or the monthly nail trim for my sensitive cat, his passion for animal well-being shines through. Dr. R. Welfare, where do I begin! I am a senior citizen living on the East side of Colorado Springs and have a few pets. NuNu, Seedy and our beloved late Poppie. We LOVE Dr. Welfare and wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else. He spends a lot of time with you, is compassionate and caring, and explains everything thoroughly. His staff is wonderful as well.

If I could rate Dr. Welfare with 10 stars I would. We have been taking our pets here for several years. The first time we visited was due to one of our labs getting hit. It was a horrible experience, but with Dr. Welfare's help our lab survived and did very well! I was a mess at this time and Dr. Welfare was so kind and patient, explaining the treatment, medications, etc. He gave me his home number because I was such a wreck with worry! Simply stated, Dr Welfare is the best Vet any animal lover could hope to have. We are so fortunate to have him here in CoS. His patients come first and he has an amazing way of dealing with his patients, and their humans.

This place is wonderful! I am so glad I checked Yelp out to find Dr. Welfare. Our dog ripped his nail all the way up to the bone and it was hanging off painfully. We were very worried about the expense because we are both unemployed. Regardless, we took our baby to North Powers Animal Hospital and just hoped for the best. We were worried about the pain, but Dr. Welfare numbed up the dog's foot and offered pain medication for later. The doctor was so nice and our dog really liked him. This place is beyond amazing Dr. Welfare really cares about your pets as if they were his own. I took my dog in earlier this year and he really wanted to help her with pain management and making sure she was ok before we did the annual shots and tags. Two weeks later we we came back in he really spent time with me and helped me make the decision that it was time to put her down. I have met many vets in a long life of many pets. Dr. Welfare is young, knowledgeable, patient, enthusiastic, and up on all the new findings in animal care.We found him when we moved to this area. His office was the closest to our new home. Now if he moved clear across the city, we'd follow him, We trust him with our dog, two turtles, and a rabbit.
